Its been several long months since our hero Dr. John Cena went down with a fluke injury. Word is, he has been training hard to get back into championship form.

In honor of his impending return to the WWE, I will be sharing some of John Cena's greatest moments each day until the Greatest WWE Champion in World History makes his truimphant return to the top of the WWE.

What better way to start off the countdown than to show how it all started. In what some have termed as the greatest debut match in WWE history, Cena came out to challenge none other than Kurt Angle. Cena wanted to make a statement. While most young up and comers start from the bottom and work their way up, Cena choose to start at the top and take out the big dogs one by one.

Kurt Angle, the pompous Ex WWE wrestler, issued an open challenge to any superstar. John Cena, then an unknow wrestler, answered the challenge and showed the Ruthless Aggression that would eventually win the adoration of real wrestling fans the world over. This style of wrestling also caught the attention of the Chicago based traditionalist fans, who refuse to accept new and improved wrestling styles in favor of old school boring wrestling.

The match went back and forth as Cena showed the heart of true champion by kicking out of an Angle Slam and refusing to tap out to the dreaded Ankle lock. No one really remembers who won the match, nor do they really care, most people choose to remember how that one night changed the face of wrestling forever.

I believe you wanted this to go in the kayfabe section? Cos I doubt there are that many moments to last till he returns.

Edit: Heck I got to admit, I marked out when Cena beat Show for the US title in Wrestlemania 20.

Trust me there will be enough moments. And secondly, I'd rather have this in The Street Fight because of the controversial nature of the subject. This is a serious wrestling thread.

More great Cena moments to come.

That was because Cena war bearable, now he just sucks...

I'm actually enjoying WWE right now without Cena, at least other guys on RAW can get a chance. When Cena comes back, its not that I want him to turn heel (although that would be great) I just think he needs to lay back for a little and let other people shine before taking the belt back for another 8 years

You must be from Chicago. Its just like a traditional wrestling fan to exaggerate about the length ot Cena's title reigns, just as they exaggerate about other things on the intranet.

I bet you are one of the 40 year old fat guys who travel around the country to boo Cena from the back row of the arena's?

Just because you and your basement boys don't like the fact that a young superstar like John Cena is changing the face of wrestling, don't try to ruin things for us real wrestling fans.

August, 2003

On an episode of Smackdown, Cena emerged from backstage to deliver one of the greatest freestyle raps in history. His main target was the Undertaker but he also expressed his negative feelings towards the smark capital of the world, the City of Chicago. Cena not only cemented his reputation as the greatest rapper of this generation, but also as one of the most hated heels in WWE history.

Here is the archive video of this historic event;
