The Club can announce that one of its greatest players, Ledley King, has, as a result of injury, been forced to retire from the game. Far from departing the Club though, Ledley will be involved in a wide-ranging Ambassadorial role and be a champion for the regeneration of Tottenham.

A player shadowed by injuries in recent years. Feel sorry for him. Congrats on his ambassador role though.

Huge shame, he could of been an England legend if not for injuries, good luck with the ambassador position though.

IMO he was like the next level up to Ferdinand a great centre half with such good composure on the ball. A horrible shame with his knee issues but this is probably for the best, he couldn't even train properly could he? Plus I'm guessing the issues would have caused him a lot of pain.

Apparently King did "light training" twice a week, and did plenty of swimming.
