Gawker had an emergency hearing today to appeal the temporary injunction Hulk Hogan received ordering all video clips and written descriptions of the Hulk Hogan-Heather Clem sex tape.
Gawker was in favor of the court today as they argued that the description of the video clip could not be pulled under freedom of speech.
Hulk Hogan on the other hand filed a motion with the court noting that Gawker needed to be held in contempt by the court for refusing the adhere to the court order and placing the footage on another website and linking to it at the same time it was removed from their own site. Hogan is arguing that linking to the footage falls under the behavior Gawker was enjoined from doing by the court.
