  • [*]TNA's contract with Spike TV expires on September 30. When the conract is renewed it is rumored that TNA will get two hours for Impact from 9 - 11 pm eastern on Thursday nights. Right now TNA tapes two weeks worth of Impact every other Monday. If the two hour time slot goes through they will still do tapings every other week, but this time they would tape Monday for the immediate Thursday, and then tape on Tuesday night for the next Thursday.
[*]TNA has now changed it's negative stance with Konnan in order to prevent him from talking publicly about the company on HBO's Real Sports. They now want Konnan to come back from his suspension with a new storyline involving him leading a AAA team to feud with LAX. Nothing is set in stone as it depends on whether Konnan will accept the money that TNA wants to pay him. It's suggested that Konnan accept the deal because his current TNA contract states that he can not work in the United States unless he works things out with TNA.
[*]Before TNA changed their stance on Konnan, Homicide was issued a fine by the company for a posting on is Myspace in support of Konnan.
[*]Current TNA plans in 2008 call for 96 house shows and 12 PPV's. Two of the PPV's would be in Orlando and the other ten would be elsewhere. Early cities being talked about are Memphis, Knoxville, and the New York area.
[*]Terry Taylor is trying to sign Solofa Fatu (Rikishi) and Brian Lawler to a TNA contract. TNA wants to reunite the tag team, but obviously not as Too Cool, as WWE owns the rights to the name.
[*]Had Ken Shamrock not taken so long in deciding on TNA's offer, he would have been the one to replace Scott Steiner, to team with Rick Steiner, at the TNA Slammiversary PPV. Road Warrior Animal ended up getting the spot.

I hope Konnan stops being Pissed and works out his issues with TNA because the AAA vs TNA fued will be pretty awsome. It looks like TNA iMPACT! will be going 2 hours in October, which is awsome I've been waiting for years now and its finally happening.

Last week's edition of TNA Impact drew a 1.07 rating. This number is down from the previous two episode ratings of 1.13 and 1.17. The show opened with a 1.03, drew to a 1.08, then dipped to a 0.98 (Kevin Nash/Kurt Angle/Angle's wife backstage segment and the start of the main event aired during this quarter-hour), and then back to a 1.20 (for the main event and the Angle/Joe/Angle's wife segment).

-- Former original ECW star member Angel Medina, who was the leader of the Baldies stable, was backstage at last night's TNA house show in Wichita, Kansas. Medina currently works as a police officer. Medina is close with Homicide and Brother Devon as they all broke in together on the New York City indy scene.

-- A half-hour special promoting next Sunday's Road To Hard Justice PPV will air this Saturday at 10:30 pm on Spike.

AAA/TNA could be good with LAX/K-Dogg also going on. Could be like the World X Cup from the FSN era.

All this sounds awesome! Ken Shamrock is always nice to see back in wrestling for sure. I dont really want to see rikishi or lawler in TNA, but I am extremly excited for TNA to finally have 2 hours. Lets just hope they don't mess it up like smackdown

There is strong interest in Matt Morgan (who may have already signed), Nidia (who just had a kid), A-Train (Giant Bernard in Japan) and Shelly "Ariel" Martinez.

Morale has been affected greatly by all of this, as guys continue to work hard and get rewarded with nothing, and new people are brought in and given strong pushes just because they made a name elsewhere.

It is said that a lot of guys now treat TNA as a job, and a lot of the fun has gone out of working there. There have been reports going around of more and more guys, including some pretty major names (not all X-Division guys) who have asked for their release recently and been turned down
