The latest issue of Power Slam magazine out of the U.K. has an interview with Brock Lesnar. Here are some highlights from the interview:

Brock on leaving WWE to join the NFL:

Do you regret leaving WWE in March 2004 to take a crack at the NFL?

Absolutely not. It's the best thing I ever did.

You walked away from a prime spot and a $1 million-per-annum downside guarantee.

Yeah.

No regrets over that?

Not at all, no. By the time I was done and wanted to leave the company, you couldn't have paid me enough money to stick around. I wasn't having fun anymore... You live only once on this planet, and I would rather know the outcome of something than regret never trying it. My whole life, I've accepted different challenges and challenged myself in different ways. A lot of people don't do that. A lot of people don't take risks. A lot of people are comfortable living their lives that way. But I'm a risk-taker. At least I gave (football) a shot and I know.

I bet a lot of people in WWE were chuckling to themselves when you were cut from your developmental contract by the Minnesota Vikings in August 2004.

I'm sure there was. But I don't care. I'm living my own life: I'm not living anyone else's. If they're happy with what they're doing, that's fine with me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brock on UFC:
I understand that you signed a two-year contract with UFC in October. Can you tell us anything about it?

Why would I want to? That's my business and none of yours.

Long-term, you must have your eye on the UFC heavyweight title.

Absolutely. I want to become the champion.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brock on wrestling Kurt Angle in an exhibition amateur wrestling match in 2002 and Kurt's MMA aspirations:
I understand that Kurt Angle challenged you to an amateur wrestling match shortly after your arrived in WWF/WWE. Is that true?

Yeah. I pinned him in 30 seconds and it was over.

You pinned him? The story I heard was that he defeated you.

Well, I don't know where you're getting your information.

So you definitely beat Angle in that amateur wrestling match?

Yeah.

Kurt has talked endlessly about MMA since he left WWE in August 2006. But he hasn't actually done anything in the sport yet. Do you think he'll ever take a fight?

No. It's just a lot of talk. Kurt hasn't done any of the right things to make the transition. If all you're doing is talking, after a while, people don't really take you seriously anymore. As the old saying goes, actions speak louder than words.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brock on why he didn't go back to WWE in 2005
So, you were never serious about going back to WWE?

(Vince and I) had some talks about it. But it was a one-sided conversation, and I wasn't comfortable about going back to work for him. So, I decided to continue to pursue the lawsuit.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brock on his dealings with Triple H:
Triple H needlessly buried you in an interview on the September 2, 2002 Raw, just moments after he had been presented with the newly-created World Title by Eric Bischoff. This came one week after you, as Undisputed Champion, were signed exclusively to SmackDown in the storyline. On that September 2 Raw broadcast, Triple H, who was a heel, said: "Brock Lesnar knows he doesn't belong in the same ring with me. Brock Lesnar knows that he can't with me in this ring. As a matter of fact, Brock Lesnar doesn't even belong speaking my name. And the fact is, the second I beat The Undertaker to become the number one contender, Brock Lesnar knew his days as champion were over, so he took his belt and ran with his tail between his legs. As it turns out, 'The Next Big Thing' has no balls."

I don't know what you're talking about. That's how much attention I paid to Triple H (laughs)... I didn't even know that happened.

It did. You were a rising star at the time, and Triple H was the established star. His obnoxious speech did nothing to facilitate your growth.

Well, when you're (with) the boss' daughter, you can pretty much say what you want.

You had a few matches with Triple H on the road, but you never had a feud on TV.

I don't think he wanted to put me over -- so that never happened.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brock on his marriage to Sable:
Finally, what's the best story you've heard about yourself that isn't true.?

That me and Sable are divorced... We're married. In fact, we're having breakfast together right now.

When did you get married?

Erm... (Turns to Sable and asks:) when did we get married (laughs)?

You're going to be in big trouble.

Hmmm, Trips not wanting to put over another star. (Go ahead and say it Kaedon. "YOU DONT KNOW THAT HE WOULDNT HAVE LATER ON DOWN THE LINE!!)

*nod* Yep, exactly.

Oh wait, "He puts over the correct stars at the correct times", right? Yeah, I guess Brock Lesnar wasn't an over enough superstar for Triple H to lose to, right?

Uhmm, different brands anyone? Altough you HHH haters might claim it was all a huge plot by The Game to send Lesnar to SD so that he didn't have to put him over.

HHH shouldn't have put him over, NO ONE HAVE. Brock Lesnar is a piece of shit and a shit stain that will soon be forgotten in the wrestling business. It's a shame because he was so good but he didnt have the heart for it, so fuck him.

I'm sure Triple H didn't want to put Brock over....At the time this happened, Brock was getting popular but he was still very green as evident when he had that fued with Cena for the WWE Title. Its still one of the worst Title matches. So at the time I could see it, but I'm sure Triple H's opinion would have never changed and Brock would have never got to go over anyways.

However again, about Triple H's comments, it fits the story line. Brock had signed exclusively with Smackdown. If the Rock had retained the title and signed with Smackdown exclusively Triple H probably would have made a simalar promo....the difference being that Triple H & The Rock probably would have ended up facing eachother in a Champion vs. Champion match at one of the next big PPVs.

I also agree with Brock's comments about Angle, and how Angle is all talk when it comes to this MMA thing. All we ever hear is about how he is close to signing and then its always "they weren't going to pay me what I'm worth" Well my comment to that Kurt Angle is in the world of MMA, your not worth anything. Your a pro wrestler with amature past. MMA is real fighting. Angle may like MMA, but he can't preform MMA. Kurt Angle in the here and now in an MMA ring would get killed. Angle may be a draw for MMA for the name, but the MMA promoter knows that that match still has to be good or people will crap on it. Who are they going to put Angle in with that couldn't knock Angle out in like a minute into the first round? Nobody. Angle also knows this and therefore backs out of every deal claiming he wasn't offered enough money. Well I think thats crap. I'm sure some dumb ass promoter was willing to pay him what he wanted. I think the truth is Angle just talks a big game, probably does seek contracts with MMA companies asking for a lot of money that know good MMA Promoter would ever give him as he has no MMA background, so Kurt can always say he's actually intrested. But I'm sure at least once he did this, and at least one promoter actually agreed, and Angle backed out himself because he knows that if he signed it his ego would be destroyed after he get murdered in the ring. So instead he turned down the contract and continued to "claim" he wasn't offered enough money. I'm pretty sure I even remember Dana White saying that Angle was knocking on his door and when White called Angle to sit down and talk about the possibility, Angle told him he wasn't intrested in working with UFC, yet Angle a week later on a radio show claimed White offered him a contract but it wasn't for enough money. Needless to say I'm more inclined to believe White over Angle.

If he really said those stuff, Brock Lesnar's a fucktard. Weren't he and Kurt friends? I thought they were. And to diss HHH like that when you were just starting out back then just made him sound arrogant. And to turn down a mainevent spot for a try in football and falling flat on your face and saying you have no regrets? Yeah right I believe you so so much.

Apparently your the idiot.

1) He may be friends, but the truth is Angle is all bluff and no stuff these days as it relates to MMA, at least Brock Lesnar is there doing it.

2) Yeah you can look at it both ways Lesnar was still green even as Champion, Triple H hates putting people over...they are both wrong.

3) And yes I do believe him. His heart wasn't in wrestling and traveling the WWE schedule. He already made a crap load of money so he decided to try for what he really wanted which was Football. That takes balls. There are many things I wish to be doing instead of working in retail, but I don't have the courage to risk it and try, but for Brock it was no risk. He didn't need the money anymore. So if he fails so what. He did, and yeah when he needed to work again he took on wrestling again while working towards his new goal which was MMA. Now he's doing it and he's in the UFC the most recognized MMA organization in North America. I wouldn't have regrets either if I was him.

On a side note I think its crap that people crap on his acomplishements in pro wrestling just because his heart wasn't in it. Many people's heart and attitudes towards wrestling sucked. Bret Hart for example, but do we forget about his acomplishments? No. We put him in the Fucking WWE Hall of Fame where he belongs. Now I'm not saying Brock had a Hall of Fame career. But that doesn't dismiss what he acomplished and erase the great matches he had specifically with Kurt Angle & The Undertaker.

As far as I'm concerned, they should have buried Lesnar harder on his way out the door.

Going out after a stunner is not punishment by any means.
