The Getaway on PS2. One of my favourite games and one of the most unique ones that took the GTA open-world forumla and really switched it up. This is arguably one of the best looking games on the system by far, right up there with Gran Turismo 4. It was really impressive. They opted to go for heavy realism, with London being the setting for the story and using real car models and shops. I always loved this aspect of it, it helped to make it really immersive. Plus, you don't have any HUD throughout the game either to see your ammo or health. The only way to know how hurt your character is by them bleeding and walking slower. The story is excellent and the cutscenes feel like you're watching a top notch Gangster flick, the voice acting is some of the best I've ever seen. Hell, I think some games even today don't come close to how natural it sounds.

is this the game where you have to like lean on the buildings to heal? I rented a game in the ps2 days where you did something like that and like you said to get a way point you drive straight until your character turns on his blinker.

Yup. Resting against the walls gradually heals you but it takes quite a while, so you have to make sure you're in a safe spot first. And you're right with the blinker too. You get no actual visual map to follow or directions, but it tells you when you need to turn to get to your destination. So many little things I love about this game, the effort that went in to making it a bit more realistic. The cars can break down pretty quickly too, so you have to be careful when driving.
