Take it for what it's worth, but this is going to be something to see. Lashley's biggest fight yet is against a mountain of a man known as THE Bob Sapp.

I dunno who is gonna win but a loss would hurt Lashley if you ask me because then the whole "unbeatable beast" factor is gone and as long as Lashley remains unbeaten that's something he has what Lesnar doesn't.

Sapp will for sure be a challenge but I beleive Lashley has what it takes to beat him though. A win has potential to elavate Lashley up into some bigger name MMA promotions, and I could see him possibly in Affliction for a few fights if he gets the win and then eventually up to the UFC, avoiding the TUF process but probably taking a longer time.

If Lashley loses though, he will probably just win another "squash" or two bfore coming back up to fight another kinda big name fighter who is past their best and then continue the process up through the ranks.

As for who I think will win, I can't see either man KO'ing or submitting the other so I think it will be a unaminous decision to Lashley (I don't think it will be a split decision, whoever wins with be clear winner imo).

That is a good point. I always forget about Affliction when thinking MMA, it's always UFC. I think Affliction would definitely be interested in him since he is sort of a multi-sport superstar big name. It could bring some much needed attention to Affliction aside from the Fedor draw.

Well it's either Affliction or Strikeforce (maybe possibly DREAM) if you ask me. Lashley will probably use whichever of them he goes to only as a stepping stone to UFC if you ask me. As long as he keeps winning, UFC is where he will be sooner or later.

I know this is the MMA thread, but can someone please tell me is Lashley still in TNA?

I think so, TNA are still waiting for him to sign a contract if I recall correctly and even when he does sign one he will only be appearing for a certain period in between fights.

I think it will take a big offer from TNA for Lashley to sign though, because Dana White already said he isn't going to deal with pro wrestlers under contract to wrestling promotions, which is why Angle never ended up getting signed. So bascially, it's UFC or TNA for Lashley, and Lashley is in it for the MMA over the wrestling atm but if the right money is offered, I think Lashley may stick with TNA.

Yea, his path is pretty much made in TNA, but if he really wants to do MMA, going to TNA would just be the easy way out. I think he should stick it out with the MMA because he can really make some noise in the MMA ranks, if he gets past Sapp. Basically, I am looking at this fight at it's all or nothing for Lashley. If he can take Sapp, that's a huge win, so he keeps going, but if he loses, Lashley is pretty much screwed because the only thing he has is his undefeated streak. Once he loses, well, back to square one for Mr. Lashley.

I think I worked it out. Lashley's gonna stall on the contract offer from TNA until after the Sapp fight. If he wins he'll get a big contract offer from one of the MMA promotions I named before and reject the TNA offer, but if he loses he'll forget about going back to square one, sign the contract with TNA and as you said "take the easy way out".

It wouldn't surprise me, at the end of the day he's going wherver the money and success is best for him but still if he does do that he is one sneaky muhfugga lol.

He might be sneaky, but he needs the money probably. He has talent in both sports, so how much talent he has is no the question, it's how much money people will give him for the talent they believe he has.

Yeah, I see where your coming from and if I was him I know I'd go where the money and success was but I'm just saying it's funny how he's going about it. But yeah, I'm sure he'll want all the extra money he can get seeing as he has a kid now to worry about and all that so I gotta respect him if he's thinking of his kid when he's making his decision.

Yea basically, I didn't know Bobby Lashley was that smart of a guy. He just looks like your basic meathead with a girly voice. Turns out he is playing his cards right.

Eh the guy is 10-4, nothing to really brag about, I am familiar with the way he fights. He is your average BIG GUY, not a Brock Lesnar big guy by far. His weight on wikipedia is 320, wtf, this is a heavyweight fight correct? Again...WTF?
