According to Dave Meltzer, here is the latest on the future of Bobby Lashley.

Lashley's camp has stated that Lashley has not signed a contract with TNA Wrestling, and that his appearance last night was for he and the company to become acquainted with each other. The plan would be for Lashley to do wrestling for TNA on a limited basis, while still training for MMA.

Lashley, who is 2-0 in his MMA career, is negotiating a contract with Strikeforce as well as negotiating for a June 27th fight with Bob Sapp. That fight would take place at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum for Biloxi for Prize Fight Promotions. Sapp has not agreed to the deal, but is reviewing the contract. Lashley could agree to the bout as early as later this evening.

Lashley vs. Bob Sapp? WTF! Lashley wants everything. He wants TNA and MMA? What a selfish bastard who isn't happy with the amount of money he's making.

I fail to see whats so horrible about this...

Lashley's simply weighing up his options.

It's fine for Lashley, let him get the best of both worlds. I figured he was working on a pay per appearance deal, he still wants to do MMA so we shouldn't expect him to really wrestle with TNA since he doesn't want to risk injury.

It sucks for TNA because yeah this is a nice draw to TNA, but it's not the same as when they got Kurt Angle or Sting or sign contracts with TNA. With the way they're letting Lashley do things right now, he could appear at Lockdown Sunday night and then show up on Raw the next night.

Hence the reason WWE will still out do TNA, they want to be professional so they deal with their wrestlers professionally, not as indies.

Wow, TNA are fucking idiots. So there's a chance he might never show up again?

There's nothing wrong with Lashley , in fact, the bastard is very smart, I mean, you have to wonder how much he got for that lame appearance on the stage.

The stupids here are TNA. They put their eggs on a man who might never even appear on a show of theirs again

I fail to see how this is dumb on either sides. Lashley is (as someone else stated) "weighing in on his options." If MMA doesn't work, he has TNA to fall back on. If he doesn't like what's going on in TNA he has MMA to fall back on. There's been reports of people who say that once they get into TNA or or been there a couple months, they don't like it, it's actually smart for Lashley to do it this way, because he may not like it.

As for TNA, if Lashley doesn't go back, they could use that as Kurt attempting to scare others. He could go on to say watch out, don't watch him, he can pull out sources from anywhere. It may not be the best, but that could be the idea of it.
