Xplosion:
*ODB defeated Tara.

7/4 TNA Impact Spoilers:

*They had an opening segment with Hulk Hogan to set up the main event. Noteworthy coming out of this is that Suicide is no more. TJ Perkins' persona is now known as "Manic." The main event is X-Division champ Austin Aries vs. Manic vs. Chris Sabin. All three made appearances to set this up.

*AJ Styles defeated Kazarian with his submission. Short but great. Bad Influence were dressed like Siegfried & Roy.

*TNA Knockouts champ Mickie James promo with a ladder to set up Gail Kim vs. Taryn Terrell ladder match "next week." Winner of that will be the new number one contender.

*Big O has been eliminated from Gutcheck. Ryan Howe will face the Judges later tonight.

*Hernandez defeated Jay Bradley after Chavo Guerrero's distraction. Not much to this.

*Backstage, Aces & Eights vow to take care of Austin Aries tonight.

*TNA Tag Team champs Gunner & James Storm defeated Robbie E & Jesse Godderz. The finish was screwy so they did it a second time.

*Sting promises to prevent any Aces & Eights interference in the main event.

*In a Bound for Glory Series bout, Jeff Hardy defeated Joseph Park by DQ Park was busted open in the mouth and when he saw his blood, he snapped and nailed the referee with a Black Hole Slam. Mostly good but a few mis-steps by Hardy.

*Ryan Howe was turned down by the TNA Judges. This got the biggest pop of the night. Howe was booed unmercifully by the crowd, which Judge danny Davis acknowledged. David voted yet. Bruce Prichard and Al Snow turned him down. The place became unglued for that. Seriously.

*Chris Sabin defeated Austin Aries & Manic to capture the TNA X-Division championship in 14:37 with Cradleshock off the second rope on Aries for the win. Aces & Eights took out Manic after Doc powerbombed him on the floor. The Main Event Mafia hit the scene to ward off A&8. There were "TNA" and "This is awesome" chants.

*The show ended with Sabin vowing to defeat Bully Ray for the title.

7/11 TNA Impact Spoilers:

*There will be three Joker's Wild Tag Matches as part of Bound for Glory Series.

*AJ Styles & Samoa Joe defeated Jeff Hardy & Joseph Park in 4:48 when Joe forced Park to tap out to the Kokina Clutch. Good for the short time they had.

*Magnus & Mr. Anderson defeated Jay Bradley & Hernandez in 3:55. Anderson wouldn't tag in, leaving Magnus to work solo. Magnus schoolboyed Hernandez for the pin.

*Aces & Eights cut a promo about the Five Guys in the Main Event Mafia. MEM came out and challenged them to a fight next week in Louisville. Aces declined. MEM said Bully Ray will be defending his title next week. They vowed to reveal their new member tonight.

*Kaz & Bobby Roode defeated Daniels & Austin Aries. A great 6:20 match. Daniels broke up a Kaz pin to tease dissension. Kaz small packaged Daniels a few seconds later for the pin. Bad Influence teased a split but left together.

*All the winning teams enter Gauntlet tonight. Winner of that gets 25 points in the BFG Series.

*Gail Kim defeated Taryn Terrell in an awesome ladder match to become the new number one contender for the TNA Knockouts championship in 11:36.

*Magnus pinned Bobby Roode to win a six man Gauntlet in 15:02 and win 25 pts. Really good.

Xplosion:
*Chavo Guerrero pinned Kenny King clean in King's hometown. Tons of signs for King in the crowd. Vegas was NOT happy.

7/11 Impact:
Hulk Hogan came out and put over Chris Sabin, who came to the ring. Aces & Eights came out and Bully Ray warned him not to cash in at Destination X next week. Sabin cut a great promo saying he pinned 3D in Team 3D's final match and he was the only one to ever kick out of 3D. Sabin handed Hulk Hogan the X-Division title to cash in. The Main Event Mafia came out and declared that no matter what, it would be one on one next week. They introduced Rampage Jackson as their newest member. Jackson was there dressed in street clothes but did not do or say anything. That appeared to have been the end of Impact.

After they went off the air....
Everyone left except Bully, Hogan and Sabin. Bully vowed to kick Hogan's ass. Hogan punched him and Bully stumbled into Sabin's enziguiri and ran off. Hogan and Sabin left together to cheers. Jeremy Borash then thanked everyone and said they would be back to Vegas soon.

Overall, a good show.

Personally I feel like some things seem a bit off, the hot potato game with the X title left me scratching my head and Rampage was predictable. Other than that it seems to be an overall good show. I'm sure the X-division stuff will come off good on TV but I still felt like the quick title reign for Aries wasn't really needed. There were other ways to put focus and fire behind Sabin.

Any reason for optimism? (Besides it just being consistent ol' Impact)

Thank God the Gutcheck guys didn't get signed. Their match was beyond bad.

Hey, people are complaining heavily about the predictability on Impact these days. TNA gave us a dose of awesome unpredictability with Suicide and the X Division and they still moan about it. Now I ain't talking about you, just certain amount of IWC. Was there other ways to all this maybe? Yes. But I like the unpredictability they went with instead of two generic X title 3 way matches. I bet you love it too.

Magnus is the rising star of the entire summer. X Division actually matters in the months of June and July. We have a great heel in Mickie James. Plus, TNA is giving us the unpredictable episodes again.

Wonderful.

The Magnus push, the BFG Series as a whole, the X and Knockouts divisions have been (and there's no reason to believe they won't continue to be) very good television. I'll bitch about the MEM and the Aces, but hopefully with all this other stuff there won't be enough screentime to make them that big of a deal for now, leaving the other stuff to give us fantastic television.

Speaking of the MEM, saw who the other two members are. That's a really, really strong faction.

Wasn't thinking "should we be optimistic towards TNA's future", meant "What about the next two weeks, how optimistic should we be for now?". And the unpredictable TV is great right now. I love logical booking as much as the next guy but Pritchard's booking has been so long term and so logical... Ya know, I miss having some spice on top of our cakes. Hell, I used to praise Russo more than anyone else on here since his shows were always entertaining (now that WWE has improved I'm relatively happy with both companies creatively), but the complaints about him are still valid. I've seen people in the IWC say the Aries swerve was Russo-booking, no. That was fucking awesome lmao. Don't see how anyone can bitch about that outside of "Nooooo! Chris Sabin was screwed!" but we can actually believe Aries winning the title unlike @ProjectSabin.

Side note: When was the last hilariously bad thing we've seen? The thing you look back on and laugh at the stupidity of it? Michael Cole vs John Cena? Maybe Claire Lynch, but that was just sad/bad. #IWCRevolution

Lol. Maybe when Velvet Sky cried? Haha, I cringed @ that shit.

But anyway, summers in TNA are pretty much always intriguing and this one looks like that too.

Magnus in the MEM has really upgraded my opinion on the group. You have Sting as the godfather, Angle as consigliere(?), Rampage as the enforcer (or hitman), Joe as a thug, and Magnus as their prospect to take the title off of Bully Ray and finally become the heavyweight champion and the IT factor (no pun intended) of the mafia.

I guess they're really great matches. I don't really get the point on having Jackson as a member of the MEM because he hasn't competed yet and he's a part timer since he said he would be a full timer wrestler when his MMA career was over. Really, I don't get it, unless it's all about look great and sell MEM products it's a stupid move IMO.

Attendance numbers report from TNAsylum's own Bigdawg:

" After tracking the numbers consistently since the day they went on sale, and also attending the event LIVE in person, I have calculated the final numbers for the Las Vegas tapings. The final grand total was 3,350 in attendance. While that final number is not outstanding, it is worth noting that the crowd was very vocal and loud 90% of the time during these 2 shows. I have more detailed information on the sections sold, and also took several pictures while there to calculate these final numbers. "

Good number.
