Lana Recieves Praise From Bully Ray

WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray, aka Bubba Ray Dudley, is thoroughly impressed with Lana’s work ethic and her transformation from a valet to an in-ring competitor.

While talking about Lana’s victory over Nia Jax in a Tables Match on RAW, Ray said on Busted Open Radio that Lana deserves a lot of credit for investing time in her profession.

“She invests time in her profession,” said Ray [h/t/ WrestleZone]. “She goes out there, she’s never boo-boo faced about anything, she’s taking powerbombs by Nia Jax, and she’s still getting up. She’s selling, she’s registering, her facials are great. Bravo Lana, you did this the right way.”

Ray went onto laud Lana for her professionalism.

“She is a complete pro. I see that woman trying as hard as she can every single time she goes out there. Lana’s not Charlotte and she’s not Sasha, and she’s not Bayley, yada yada we get it. But I’ll be damned if that girl doesn’t go out there and give it her all and try her hardest. I know she goes down and she rolls around with Nattie [Neidhart] and TJ [Wilson]’s place down there. She tries to get that extra work in.”

Ray added that Lana is most likely “tougher than anybody else” on the WWE roster.

“All I know is that she’s most likely tougher than anybody else on their roster because clearly that’s the first time in history that’s been done [a table streak]. And every single time, she gets the f–k up and keeps going, you know. She doesn’t say, ‘No.’ She doesn’t say, ‘I don’t want to do that.’ She doesn’t sell.”

“She’s going out there and doing her job, and doing her job to perfection. And I’m so freaking proud of CJ, man, because she’s proven that she’s most likely the most talented and underrated person in the whole entire wrestling community.”

Since her return to WWE TV last Sunday at the Royal Rumble, Lana has formed a new tag team with Naomi. The duo became the No. 1 contenders to Nia Jax and Shayna Baszler’s titles last week on RAW.

I mean I will give any talent Male or Female props when they are looking to get better and the Ring and yes she has shown she cares about her in Ring Career now because I didn't believe that before. I say all of that and it doesn't mean she has a future long term as a Wrestler versus being as an Vallet. When Lana and Rusev came together I was one of the biggest fans of hers Scissor me Lana was created and let me oil dem legs Lana acting a fool and a bobohead but when WWE decided to make her wrestle I was like why? I get it that she wants to be a Wrestler and you let that person do it to the best of their ability, but where is the endgame for Lana as a Wrestler in WWE?

I mean I can see WWE giving her the Tag Titles, but is she going to make an impact in the Division or rather just a Crash Test Dummy for others in the Division? I rather see her go back to being an Vallet but I imagine that doesn't happen unless she goes back to AEW and I imagine she wrestles there here and there. I kinda laughed when Bully said Lana is most likely tougher than anyone else on the Roster and I'm like have you been watching Wrestling lately because theirs alot of ladies in WWE especially in that NXT Women's Division that would have loads to say about that comment.

I used to like Lana until the whole Bobby Lashley angle, she just got real stupid and annoying. I like her as a “serious” singles competitor. Overall, though, there just seems to be something about her where not many people really care about her. Regardless of the work she puts in to improve, which I really respect, she just can’t seem to grasp a lot of people.

Don't know about this, I like her trying to get better and take the bumps and sell, its commendable. But like what's the long term goal here? A super baby facepush?

Why does there need to be a long term goal? She wants to improve and become an asset, good on her I say.

What’s the long term goal for any wrestler lol. If the girl wants to wrestle let her wrestle. I think she’s fucking gorgeous so I enjoy her for that lol but you can definitely tell she’s putting in the work so good for her.

I can tell that Lana is really trying to get better in the ring, selling the bumps and selling storyline emotions. Do I think she is a bad wrestler? No. Have I seen worst? Yes, I have. I can give her, her due. She is better now than she was in 2017 when she first started branching out.
