Seriously, rofl.

So pretty much every rap and hip hop song needs to be cut off the radio waves then as well.

Here are the lyrics to the song that they claim "isn't about a girl named Amy":

Oh baby, baby, have you seen Amy tonight
Is she in the bathroom, is she smoking up outside
Oh, baby, baby, does she take a piece of lime
For the drink that I’m-a buy her, do you know just what she likes

CHORUS:
Oh, oh, tell me have you seen her, 'cause I’m so, oh...
I can’t get her off of my brain
I just wanna go to the party she gon' go
Can somebody take me home
Ha ha hee hee ha ha ho

Love me, hate me, say what you want about me
But all of the boys and all of the girls are begging to
If U seek Amy
Love me, hate me, but can’t you see what I see
All of the boys and all of the girls are begging to
If U seek Amy

Amy told me that she’s gonna meet me up
I don’t know where or when and now they’re closing up the club
I’ve seen her once or twice before she knows my face
But it’s hard to see with all the people standing in the way

CHORUS

Oh, say what you want about me
Oh, but can’t you see what I see
Yeah, say what you want about me

So tell me if you see her
(do you know what she was wearing and what she was like)
'Cause I’ve been waiting here forever
(do you know if she was going out her mind)
Oh baby, baby, if U seek Amy tonight
Oh baby, baby, we’ll do whatever you like
Oh baby, baby, baby, oh baby, baby, baby

CHORUS 2x

And according to them, then what the hell the song is about?

And even if the song wasn't about the damn Amy, people who complain about songs and secret and indirect messages on them are just because they can't control their kids and so they want to limit them using stupid reasons like that one.

Well, as much as I would appreciate this if it resulted in Britney Spears never being allowed to sing again, this is still incredibly lame.
Talk about no life for the parents.

They were talking about this on the radio a couple days ago at like 4am. saying they can't play the song or say it fast so they said it slow. And for 45min. straight I was trying to figure out what was so wrong with it. I had to look it up on the internet to figure it out. It's not really that noticeable, some parents these days, gota find something to complain about.

it's not parents it's the parents television council (the people that went after wwe). these people analyze media and find anything that could be even remotely offensive.

Umm, no offence but they're right. The song clearly isn't about a girl named Amy. It's a thinly veiled effort of an attempt to be sexually subtle but it fails miserably. Now I'm not saying that it should be banned (I don't believe in censorship anyhow) but the parents are right.

could be wrong but...

"if U seek amy tonight"

if >> F
U >> U
see >> C
ka >> K
a+my>> me
tonight >> tonight
= fuck me tonight...

if thats it, its pretty obvious...

If we banned every song that could be remotely construed as sexual then nearly all rap songs would be gone. Some songs are better at hiding the sexual connotations than others but still some people have a lot of free time on their hands.

Pretty sure the two of us who called bullshit said we don't favour banning anything.

Free time? I read through the lyric once and knew what she was trying to do. It doesn't take a mental giant to figure out what she's saying.
