Lacey Evans To Replace Ronda Rousey?

Rousey is expected to take a temporary hiatus from WWE at some point after WrestleMania 35, and though it now looks like "The Baddest Woman on the Planet" will work at least one pay-per-view after WrestleMania, WWE is wasting no time in establishing her heir apparent. And it may surprise you who that replacement is because it's not Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch, Asuka, Sasha Banks or any other star who's already proven capable of carrying the women's division.

It's main roster newcomer Lacey Evans.

I don't know how reliable Forbes is for WWE news but I had no idea she was taking a break already and I also have no idea who Lacey Evans is. lol I guess it would help if I knew what was going on over on NXT, but I do not.

For those of you who care that this may happen, what are your thoughts?

I actually really like Lacey and her gimmick, but wtf she should still be in NXT imo...

If WWE wants to get her over she should either have some matches, have her cut a few promos or change her music. She can get over I just think it's kinda silly having her come out model and walk back up the ramp

Yeah, in all honesty when I saw her compete in the Mae Young tournament. I enjoyed what I saw from her but I just know with how WWE is using her for the main roster...she's doom!!! Wtg, Vince! But your superstars are so stale huh? Their fault huh?

Maybe it's a good thing Velveteen Dream didn't get called up. I'm worried for Ciampa and Gargano. Black and Richochet I'm not a fan but I wouldn't be surprised if they were ruined as well

I haven't seen anything from Lacey, for me to think she is going to be a star.

She comes off as very awkward. And it's been a bit of disaster for all NXT call ups so far this year.

Ronda Rousey is a great performer considering how long she has been doing this. Getting thrown in the deep end. Already has had some really good matches. You can tell she fully gets professionally wrestling.

Lacey Evans just doesn't do anything for me. A very one dimension character with awkward promos and awkward wrestling. Doesn't look great.

Why not push Shanya Baszler? She's great. Or maybe have Asuka be in this 'big three'.

If you going to push Lacey then you might as well just continue pushing Alexa to the moon. Better character and promos. Wrestling is about the same.

Lacey Evans vs Asuka at Mania just screams pre show. I want the women to actually be on the show. There is no one on the Smackdown roster for Asuka to face. It's a shame.

I don't think they're necessarily aiming for Ronda's spot, but I did read about the idea of pushing her to the top very quickly. They want her to be one of the bigger names in the women's division by the end of the year or smth and I can't really blame them. From what I've read she's a very hard working person, which works for Vince because he loves hustlers, and her backstory is also quite interesting.

I could see them giving her a match against Asuka at Mania and letting her put up a good fight to establish that she's not here to be taken lightly. I also think Asuka would be able to make Lacey look strong, even if Asuka's going over. So generally I don't really have a problem with pushing her right away, but let's just hope she performs well under pressure lol
