On his Twitter account, anglefoods1, Kurt Angle posted the following tonight:

"To all my Fans @ Friends, I'm signing a new deal with TNA. We r working out the Kinks but I'm staying. So please tune in every thurs night

I gave it much thought,TNA is the Underdog.I feel I can Help Them go to the next Level.WWE is the top CO. But being the Face of TNA is Great

TNA has so much potential. I Believe in TNA. I Love Dixie Carter and I am staying. TNA wants to help me into Movies and Anglefoods.TNA is IT"

I didn't expect anything less. I honestly don't think that WWE would take him back, they let him go all those years ago because he had many issues and with his recent arrests and odd comments on twitter he clearly has some of those same issues. Maybe Kurt could take a leaf out of Edge's book and retire rather than try to kill himself in the ring.

I am not sure this classes as news, he has been saying for a long while that he is with TNA for the long term. I am not convinced of this, just like I am not convinced that WWE would never bring him back, sure it might not be for a long term programme, but they can see the value of Angle doing something for them. As for your last point Troy, you may well have a point, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

Kurt needs to retire. Really I fear for his health, I mean he sure does put on some good matches in his career, but still he can't go on forever. I can see why he stayed with TNA they are very careful with him, but they need to keep him check when he is not on the road with them.

The only problem i have with Angle signing a new deal is the fact that, you know, I am so tired of what they have him doing. His program with Jarrett is stale and I feel like Kurt will never win which makes it not much fun to watch. I mean how many times can Kurt beat up Jeff just to lose in a match. It hurts his cred imo.

I don't think the E would turn him down if he wanted to come back. He can still sell well and he can perform to a decent level unlike Foley, Hogan etc. I wouldn't go anywhere if I were Angle as TNA gives him alot of free time. With the E going to entertainment > Wrestling Angle wouldn't fit well anyway as Kurt is a wrestler at heart.

But yes I definitely agree with Troy's last point. Angle needs to be careful and TNA needs to keep their eyes on him. TNA has had a problem with substance abuse in the past and if their "face" as he calls it continues down this "road" it could hurt TNA, not to mention Angle's credit as a human being.

When you look at the lack of good options, you could say that Angle is due another World Title run, okay I would put the belt on Anderson first and have him have a proper run, and then have Kurt win it later in the year. He is still TNA's most relieable talent, and is worth another run on top.

As for the retirement thing, sadly I see him as being too stubon to retire, and a bit like Hogan and Flair I think Kurt Angle's life is consummed with wrestling, and unless he is forced out though injury, I see him going on for many years yet.
