According to an interview that he did with MovieLine.com, Kurt Angle has signed a new deal with TNA Wrestling.

In talking about how he got into wrestling he said, "I was taking classes and I was getting very serious about it. I was also sportscasting — I was a sportscaster in Pittsburgh for Fox, just trying to get in front of the camera a little bit. Then pro wrestling came around and I took a shot at that, and I didn’t realize I was going to become that good. I made a lot of money, thank God, and I stuck with it, but every time I had a movie where my name would come up for some reason, I wasn’t allowed to do it due to scheduling reasons in the WWE. So with TNA, they give me the opportunity to go ahead and do movies and if it conflicts with the schedule they work around it. It’s a much better situation for me. So I actually signed a new three-year deal today with TNA. I’m going to stick with TNA."

I believe that this interview occured after he was arrested whilst being the TNA champion, the third time for DWI that he has been arrested since joining TNA and the second arrest this year. I can't believe that TNA keep signing him to new deals. Ever since he arrived ratings have remained steady and he has constantly publically embarrassed TNA yet they give him a new deal for most likely big money.

In my opinion Angle keeps tarnishing his legacy through his constant arrests and apparent mental disintegration. The guy should retire and do something like start a wrestling school.

Have to say I am not shocked, as much of an Angle fan as I am, it is getting close to the time when he should call it quits, I certainly don't think he should be world champion right now. At the moment he is still a pretty hot talent, but I dread to see what state he and TNA might be in, in three years.
