My guess is it has to do with some form of higher inelegance. It looks like Norman was reaping the loss of human life.
The X on his stomach seems to be as if he was created (not by man) since the belly button is where the umbilical cord normally is.
Looks like it will be an interesting game. I don't own a PS but I will likely watch the game play out of curiously. Kojima does some good work.

Way way way out, 2018 at the earliest. Glad to see he's at least going down the psychological thriller route, early concept art made me think it'd be some Titanfall bullshit w/ a story.
This man has two well-known, beloved actors ( Norman Reedus, Mads Mikkelsen) and potentially Guillermo del Toro working with him on this game. HOW BIG IS THIS PROJECT'S BUDGET? HOW MUCH IS SONY PAYING THIS MAN!? Its crazy to think that there is so much hype around a game that's literally just begun development recently...but this is a game being written and directed by Hideo Kojima. Hideo-fucking-Kojima; this man could take a literal piece of shit and write "written and directed by Hideo Kojima" on it and gamers would praise it like its the second coming of Jesus.
Jokes aside he is deserving of the praise he receives. I can't lie these two trailers have my curiosity, I wonder what he'll be able to do with his own team and little to no Creative boundaries. Probably won't be seeing any gameplay until late 2017-E3 2018 if ever which is a bummer.
