The Kings of Leon have canceled their 2011 U.S. summer tour, including their scheduled performance at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford on Aug. 13.
The band's marketing manager, Chris Charest, issued a press release apologizing to fans.
"We are so sorry to say Kings of Leon are canceling their entire U.S tour due to Caleb Followill suffering from vocal issues and exhaustion. The band is devastated, but in order to give their fans the shows they deserve, they need to take this break," Charest said.
Charest said the band's U.S. dates cannot be rescheduled because of its international tour schedule.
Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. Tickets purchased online or via phones will be automatically refunded.
The band will begin touring again at the Rogers Center in Vancouver, BC, on Sep 28. That show was originally scheduled for Sept 14.
