The show opens and the tag team champions music hits and they both walk down to the ring. They each have microphones and start a great promo. They were very cocky and heel like, the Miz then says “I know you are not used to seeing Hollywood A listers like John Morrison and the Miz in these parts, well unless Brad Pitt and Sean Penn are in a motor home boarding up windows after a hurricane thankfully blows through this city”. The people in the arena booed the champs a lot after that little remark. The Miz and John Morrison then began sweet talking all the ladies in the crowd. They called themselves a couple of classy names such as “the Tuesday night delight and “Mizard of lust” which the crowd didn’t like. The Miz and John Morrison then go on to talk about them being the WWE Tag Team Champions and how they have had absolutely no competition since becoming the tag champs. After that they talk about being at a Hollywood hotspot until Finlay’s music hits! They crowd cheer as Finlay walks out with a microphone. Finlay talks about how nobody wants to listen to them run there mouths and then Hornswoggle gets into the ring behind the tag champs. The Miz and John Morrison turn around and are sprayed in the face by Hornswoggle with his water gun as Finlay walks down and hides at the corner of the turnbuckle outside the ring. Hornswoggle rolls out of the ring quickly with the tag champs chasing, Morrison leads the chase. Hornswoggle gets to the turnbuckle and runs right past and when Morrison gets there he is hit hard by Finlay with the shaleille as The Miz runs past. It goes to an ad break and when the come back it says Teddie Long had announced Finlay Vs The Miz.
Match 1
Finlay Vs The Miz with John Morrison
This was probably the best match of the show or tied for it. Finlay started off in control for a little bit hyping up the match, The Miz then took over. He done some nice heel moves and was in control of the match for the most of it, especially around the mid part of the match. The Miz worked on Finlay’s arm all match weakening it. Around the ending of the match John Morrison walks over to Finlay’s corner and picks up the Shaleille as Finlay is on the mat by the ropes. Hornswoggle then jumps up onto the apron and he runs and hits John Morrison knocking Morrison over. The Miz then grabs Hornswoggle off the apron and pulls him into the ring, Hornswoggle gets up and runs right past Miz and when The Miz turns around to get him Finlay is there and he nails him with the Muscle buster for the three count.
Winner: Finlay
Time and rating: 9 – 10 minutes, **3/4
The camera then goes backstage to Teddie Long who is talking with some Tiffany chick. She tells Teddie she has an idea for next week but then Armando Estrada rushes into Longs office. Armando kind of kisses Teddie Longs ass saying he wants his contract back and he asks Long who he has to face next to get his job back. Then the newest superstar on the ECW roster walks in and says “you wanted to see me Teddie”. Teddie Long then tells Armando Estrada that he has one more opportunity to get his job back by beating new ECW superstar Braden Walker (Chris Harris). Walker then tells Estrada that he is going to knock his brains out!
It goes to an ad break and when it comes back on the air Estrada and Walker come to down the ring…
Match 2
Armando Estrada Vs Braden Walker
Armando Estrada started the match on top, he was in control a lot of the match and very heel about it. Armando kept Walker on the mat a lot of the time and kept him close. Braden Walker hit a couple of big moves and built up momentum and then he ended the match with a huge Cross Body Block from the top rope and he got the win. It was quite a boring match but it was good to see Walker (Chris Harris) debut and good for him winning.
Winner: Braden Walker (Chris Harris)
Time and rating: 4 – 5 minutes, *1/2
The camera then went backstage to Tony Atlas who was with Teddie Long. They have a little talk and the Teddie asks him what he’s doing at ECW and he tells him he’s just there for a visit. Teddie Long offers Atlas to be the guest ring announcer in the night’s main event. Teddie Long says someone could use a pay day and uses a funny line, “dollar dollar dollar”! Tony Atlas tells him that he’s always down for a pay day and accepts the offer just as Mark Henry walks over to him. Mark Henry tells him how he was a huge fan of his and says how he used to be quite strong, he asks how much he can bench and Atlas replies to him with 650. Henry tells him “that’s pretty impressive, if you want to be Miss America”. Mark Henry then says it was good seeing him and Atlas puts his hand out to shake Henry’s but Mar Henry walks away staring at Atlas’ hand. This was a pretty good promo in my opinion because it got Atlas out to the ring which was sort of a big deal and it also got Mark Henry hated a little bit more.
The Camera goes to the interview space with Lena Yada and Atlas Ortiz who debuted last week…
This was a pretty boring promo, he told Lena and everyone else to call him Ricky because all his family and friends do. Lena asks him about being in ECW and how he won last week and then he went on talking about how it was a good win and how he was undefeated in the WWE.
The camera then goes back out to Tazz and Mike Adamle who talk about the current new wrestlers on ECW. Tazz then talks about Matt Hardy who was drafted to ECW and it shows a video package of him on his DVD with clips of there great moments. This goes on for a couple of minutes and it was quite interesting seeing a video package of Matt and not another one of Jeff Hardy.
Once that finishes it again goes backstage and this time it has Tony Atlas with his old friend Tommy Dreamer and young Colin Delaney. Tommy Dreamer introduces Delaney to him and then Tommy catches up with Atlas. Tommy talks about Atlas being the guest at ring side. Tony Atlas shakes both of there hands and walks off leaving Delaney there talking with his mentor Tommy Dreamer. This was really quite a pointless promo not really talking much and it didn’t help in a big way.
By then it was time for Nunzio Vs Evan Bourne who both made there way down to the ring.
Match 3
Nunzio Vs Evan Bourne
This was a pretty good match. It was quick paced as you would expect from these two and it delivered well. Nunzio was in control of the match to start with hitting a sweet tilt-a-whirl back breaker on Bourne and Bourne sold that well. They then had Evan Bourne hit a great running hurricanrana and also a few hard knees to the face of Nunzio. Evan Bourne picked up the win after hitting the shooting star press on ECW original Nunzio.
Winner: Evan Bourne
Time and rating: 4 minutes 30 seconds, **1/4
Right before the main event Mark Henry finds Tony Atlas backstage and talks to Atlas about how he accepted to be a guest ring announcer for the main event. He then told Atlas how there always looking for a pay day and said “if you want a pay day, maybe you can carry my bags around after my match”. Tony Atlas looks at Henry and tells he will think about that with a very weird look on his face right before he walks out to the ring.
Main Event
Mark Henry Vs Tommy Dreamer with Colin Delaney
This match was pretty bad, Mark Henry dominated most of it but Tommy Dreamer had his comeback moments. Mark Henry was about to end it with his finishing splash but when he bounced off the ropes Colin Delaney grabbed his foot. Henry got outside the ring and stared at Colin who was backing down from big Mark Henry. Tony Atlas got up to save Delaney as Mark Henry stopped looking at Colin and Atlas put his arm on Delaney’s shoulder, then shockingly Tony Atlas through Delaney right into the announcers table head first! Tommy Dreamer gets out of the ring and walks over to Tony Atlas and asks what the hell he was doing and then Mark Henry grabs Dreamer and slams him down hard on his back outside the ring. The ref randomly calls for the bell and the match is over.
Winner: Mark Henry (somehow)
Time and rating: 3 – 4 minutes, *1/4
