If you watched Smackdown last night (which I didn't, but I read the results), Kevin Owens strongly hinted that he was going after Ryback and his Intercontinental Championship when he said he was sick and tired of hearing about "Feed Me More!"

How does everyone feel about this? Give how little value the title is still perceived to have in many people's eyes, I'm not sure how amped up I should be for this. Back in the days when the Intercontinental Championship meant something, Owens going toe to toe with "The Big Guy" and beating him to become Intercontinental Champion would be fine booking in my eyes, but it seems every time I put any faith into their efforts to restore the prestige and former glory of the midcard titles, they let me down.

To their credit however, they have done a swell job in elevating the US Title, so that gives me at least a little faith that Owens can maybe do similar wonders with the IC Title (especially since he's one of HHH's boys), but I'll believe it when I see it.

Owens would make a good IC Champ, as long as afterwards his career sky rockets, usually it's the superstar's career after the Intercontinental Championship runs which defies if the reign was good and worth it

Well part of the issue that is that in the process of upping the the IC title, Bryan got injured and he would've single handedly helped with that. They gave the belt to ryback since then and that's fine I suppose but it doesn't have nearly the focus that it was seemingly going to have with Bryan holding it.

They can bring its prestige back. let Owens win it and be booked properly and it'll be just fine.

Owens given some time to have great matches and defend the belt would be great for the title.
