KAIRI suffers ruptured eardrum in return to STARDOM

In her first singles match since leaving WWE, KAIRI ruptured her eardrum at Sunday's Stardom World Climax: The Top at Tokyo's Sumo hall.

The former Kairi Sane defeated Starlight Kid on the show and revealed the injury during a post-match interview backstage.



Via a Google Translate of her interview: "Now my eardrum is torn and I can't hear...Each technique has its own weight and the match ignited. It was a different person from the previous kid. The eardrum was torn. But I'm happy. I'm happy with the pain."

It's unknown how long she will be out of action.

This was her first singles match since defeating Bayley on the July 20, 2020, episode of WWE Raw. She wrestled in a tag team match at Stardom World Climax: The Best on Saturday as well, teaming with Mayu Iwatani in a win over The Cosmic Angels (Tam Nakano & Unagi Sayaka).

It was her first match back in Stardom since 2017 and first match of any kind since July 2020.

Damn I didn't even know she was working through that vs Starlight Kid it shows how good she is when many people would of been going into panic mode.

I still need to watch that match but it really puts a bit of a damper on a match I kind of considered to be a dream match and seems like a bit of a freak injury.

It can take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months for it to heal so hopefully KAIRI is back sooner rather than later.
