Do you ever expect Stone Cold to return to the WWE for an extended time in some capacity? Would you even want him to?

Call it what you want, "mark" "nostalgia" "living in the past." I would love to see Stone Cold return even if it's as a rogue GM that occasionally stunners superstars.
Does anyone care to share a thought on the subject at hand?

He doesn't work as the authority figure imo as he needs to be going against it, plus the random stunners would bury current talent imo. I'd love him to do 1 more match though.

I can respect that Seabs, and I see what you're saying. I don't know why, I just want to see one last run out of the guy.

I'd love one more run just cos it's Austin, I fantasy booked a return leading to a feud with Punk a while ago on here. A return match would be great imo just can't see where he fits after that.

So maybe a return like the Rock did last year but no b.s. afterwards? Just the match and then gone. I actually like that idea and the fact you put him up against CM Punk makes a whole lot of sense. Punk takes little jabs at him from time to time.

I really think there is a possibility that he will return for one match only at WM30, most likely against Punk...

That would be epic...

One more match? Sure, it'd be great to see Austin having one more run leading to one match only, which would have to be at WM I suppose, for him to put someone over. Afterwards he wouldn't fit. The GM role goes completely against his gimmick and he'd bury talent randomly with Stunners, it wouldn't be good, and there's nothing else for him to do considering he wouldn't do commentary.

Seeing him have a temporary run as GM would be awesome. Also seeing him have his own talk show (like MizTV, Piper's Pit, etc.) would be awesome, even though I know it wouldn't happen. They could even have it be only once a month or every two weeks as a way of making it feel more special.

The most realistic expectation is to expect him to come back and have one final match with someone, most likely Punk. Personally, I wouldn't have minded if the current angle they're doing with the Rock - coming back to win the WWE Title one last time - was saved for Austin instead. It would have also worked out well at the very moment considering Punk is the champion and it seems that's the obvious match they're building towards with Austin, if he does return for one more match.

Seems that way, but does anyone know if his neck can take another match?

He was cleared to wrestle again as of a few years ago.

Well the rumors are that he's suppose to come back and fight Punk at next year's Wrestlemania, so that'll be something to look forward to. I think Austin is done with wrestling other than that, he might pop up here and there, but that's about it. I think he might show up at Raw's 20th anniversary since he did miss Raw 1000 because he was in crutches at the time. I wouldn't be surprised if he had a confrontation with Punk for this years mania (Which is in new jersey, just got to rub that in your faces a bit more).

On a side note I don't think Austin would fit in today as well as he did in his era since things have toned down quite a bit.
