Reem didn't test positive for steroids.

Even if he did, he sits out, he faces the punishment, and he comes back. He was the #1 contender when he left, and if no other contenders are better choices for the title fight when he comes back, give him the fight.

It's a monster draw for those two to fight, so whether JDS wants it or not, it's going to happen.

I'd love the fight to happen though. It will draw so well. A contender to overtake Brock's record perhaps. I love them both for different reasons. JDS is like the Cena, but a genuinely nice guy with a fucking awesome punch. Overeem is like the MITB CM Punk, he don't give a shit, he's going to kick your head off.

He had one test that showed his T/E ratios were off, and he has to sit out 9 months for it. Once he has sat out his 9 months, he is good to go.

Should Anderson not fight Chael because Chael's T/E ratio was high after their first fight and he was suspended for it? Shit happens and IMO it's not the fighters place to worry about the happenings of other guys and their T/E ratios.

In modern sports, I doubt there's many chilled champions who actually want to fight the best around just for pride. If so, Manny vs Floyd would have happened ages ago.

I don't really think JDS is scared lol, just fun to say. He would take the fight if it's what Dana wanted, as he said he would. It would be the biggest pay day of JDS's career, so he should be on his hands and knees thanking Reem for that (and vice versa tbh)

As far as the fight itself.. I'd put it at a 50/50 fight all the way. Both guys are elite strikers and their is basically a 0% chance it goes to the ground. 'Reem not only has K-1 fights under his belt, he won the freakin' K-1 open weight Grand Prix in 2010 and was 3rd in 2009, meaning he is one of the greatest kick boxers on the planet right now, and JDS obviously has some of the best boxing skills in MMA. There isn't much to handicap in a HW fight like this.. the first guy to land a big shot would likely put the other one down. It is a very interesting styles clash though because Reem likes to shrink the distance, utilize the clinch and unleash knees while JDS likes to create distance with his footwork and move in, do his damage, before getting back out.
