REMEMBER WHEN THE WOMEN'S DIVISION HAD ACTUAL TALENT IN IT? Specifically WWF/WWE. I guess there's some now, it's not as bad as it was with the EYE CANDY era.

Enter the Jumping Bomb Angels, Noriyo and Itsuki, from Japan. Active 1981 - 1991.

They were a female tag team who first started in Japanese wrestling and then moved on to the WWF in 1987. They won the Women's Tag Team championship at the 1988 Royal Rumble (one of their best matches, IMO) and they had a great rivalry with the Glamour Girls.

Championships and accomplishments

All Japan Women's Pro-Wrestling

WWWA World Tag Team Championship (1 time)

World Wrestling Federation
WWF Women's Tag Team Championship (1 time)

Independent
Women's World Tag Team Championship (1 time)

I think that '88 Rumble match is the best women's wrestling match in history up until we started getting better ones these last few years.

Yeah The Jumping Bomb Angels could legit pick apart alot of Women Tag Teams with ease with their skills in the Ring. They had great Matches with the Crush Girls, Bull Nakano and Saito over the WWWA Tag Titles in the 80's.

Noriyo Tateno is still in my opinion one of the most underrated female wrestlers of all time, in my opinion.

Ahead of their time in the States. Loved their feud with the Glamour Girls. Actually think the Survivor Series 87 match was the standout of their WWF run, but the Rumble match was pretty great too. Will have to check out more of their stuff. Proof that if you've got the look and the wrestling talent you don't need the mic skills to get over in the US.

I think if anything, that match showed that Women's wrestling can succeed in the US if the proper talent is hired. Unfortunately, Vince was still stuck with the Moolah school of thought.
