Tiger Maks in 95 would have been the fourth one, and I may have to follow this

Alright, that is interesting considering in real life he left the gimmick in 1990, so now I am more intrigued by this

It's 1985 not 1995 in this scenario

I could have swore that said 95 and not 85, so that is my fault at sucking at reading. Also, means Misawa will win by using this great suplex

AJPW NEW YEAR WARS SUPER BATTLE TOUR

DAY 2
THE BEAUTY PAIR VS THE GLAMOUR GIRLS

The first AJW match for the Glamour Girls was a success for them. Kai and Martin would look good from the far in-ring superior Ueda and Sato. Despite the efforts of the Beauty Pair, their spree of bad luck in the ring continued as the Glamour Girls hit Sato with a combination Side Walk Slam/Elbow Drop that they called "Glitz and Glammer" for the win.

3/5

OWEN HART, THE MIDNIGHT ROCKERS, AND TITO SANTANA vs THE PEGASUS KID, ISAMU TERANISHI, ROCKY HATA, AND HIRO SAITO

8 of AJPW's best Junior Heavyweights faced off in a bout that also featured a debuting Tito Santana, who got a good reaction from the crowd. Both sides looked great, especially Pegasus and Owen who's series of matches for the JHW Title were well recieved. The Midnight Rockers continued to work well together, building for their eventual All Asia Tag Team Title match with the Viet Cong Express. Teranishi and Hata seemed to be a new team, but the kinks needed to be worked out. Saito managed to get some sort of revenge on Owen for taking his JHW title, hitting a sickening senton.

Despite all this, the babyfaces were able to overpower the heels, with Santana knocking Hata out with a flying forearm smash for the win.

3.25/5

STEINER BROTHERS MANAGER REVEAL

The pairing of Scott and Rick Steiner would be show at an AJPW Press Conference following the AJPW Real World Tag League, where PAUL E. DANGEROUSLY would approach the brothers. Dangerously welcomed them to AJPW and offered them his services as a manager. Scott would shake Paul's hand, signalling a potential deal.

2.5/5

THE STEINER BROTHERS vs BLACK CHARISMA

Two of AJPW's newest teams would square off. The Steiners wouldn't be backed by Dangerously this time, meaning they'd have to go alone over the rookies Shinya Hashimoto and Masahiro Chono. The pairing of Hashimoto/Chono would train at NJPW for a short bit of time before they chose to come to AJPW, while the Steiners wrestled for a bit in America.

The match was relatively short, given both teams were still rookies. However, the freakish athleticism of the Steiners made the AJPW Crowd fans of them. With this strength and ability, Scott and Rick got a little too cocky. As Scott went for his famous Frankensteiner onto Hashimoto, Shinya would keep him in mid-air. This allowing Chono and Hashimoto to hit a freakish Powerbomb into an Uppercut combo for the win!

2.5/5

JAKE ROBERTS VS TAKASHI ISHIKAWA

A nice showcase for Roberts. The man dubbed "The Snake" came out with Hiromuchi Fuyuki, Big Van Vader, and a white bagto face Ishikawa. Takashi tried as hard as he could, but Roberts would drill Ishikawa down with his patented DDT, spiking his head into the mat for the win.

3.75/5

NORIO HONAGA vs KEICHII YAMADA

Yamada, the man who was wasted away by NJPW, would make his triumphant debut in AJPW, facing a fellow Junior Heavyweight in Honaga. Both men tested each others limits, with Yamada proving himself strong against a 5-Year Veteran in Honaga. Honaga's success was very limited though, with Yamada being the clear crowd favorite. With a flashy Enzuigiri Kick into a Back Suplex, Yamada would pick up a win in his debut for AJPW.

3.25/5

Yūdokuna Michi (Kabuki and Goto) vs BABA AND KIMURA

The main event was a bout between Arch-Rivals Great Kabuki and Giant Baba, who put on a good show. For context, Kabuki beat Baba for the PWF Championship. Each man got their time to shine, with Goto surprisingly getting a good amount of offense in on Baba. The babyfaces almost got the job done, but Kabuki pulled the Asian Mist out and spit it in Baba's face, taking him out of commision. With Kimura all alone, Goto would hit a Brainbuster following a Kabuki knee strike to pick up a victory for Yudokuna Michi.

3.75/5

SHOW RATING: 3.5/5
