UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo says he will accept any challenge the UFC puts in front of him. That includes if former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar drops down to 145 pounds.
While Edgar has yet to officially announce that he will enter the featherweight ranks, most believe it is only a matter of time. The likelihood of Edgar securing a future match with Aldo excites the Brazilian.
"He said he wants to drop to featherweight, so I'm hoping he does that to end this story," Aldo told Tatame.com recently. "He's welcome here so that we can shut him off and he goes to the lightweight or bantamweight classes."
Aldo is currently set to defend his title against Erik Koch in the main event of UFC 153. The card goes down October 13 from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
I want to see this fight, and think it will happen within the next year. I think it'd be like Aldo-Hominick though. I just don't think Edgar would have an answer for whatever Aldo throws at him.
