Nice effect, everything flows, text looks good. It's just missing the 'it' factor, a bit plain.

Yeah, I've always been using GIMP. I've been using it for like 4 years. Stopped about 4-6 months ago though. Just did this for the hell of it

Just needs a little bit of burning on the sides for lighting to bring out the render more. Very nice work overall.
