Gargano is one of my favorite wrestlers. I previously made a thread on how fast he seems to be evolving as a wrestler over here. Where I described his rapid growth rate which is just damn impressive. In about two years he has gone from a comedic bottom of the card guy to the face of his company Dragon Gate USA and is seemingly unable to have a bad match. But how far can Gargano go in wrestling as a whole?
In Dragon Gate USA and Evolve he is the guy to beat right now. He also just debuted in PWG during all star weekend 9. But can Gargano ever transcend independent wrestling into the major leagues? This is a guy who has openly stated his desire to wrestle at wrestlemania, but he also has a passion for independent wrestling and has already declined a WWE contract to stay with DGUSA for two more years. Can you see Gargano heading to WWE down the line and doing well for himself?
Personally I say yes. He has star quality. He works the ring similarly to Alex Shelley but with his own twist. He has that Aries style look and charisma to him and a passion on the microphone that is eerily similar to ROH style CM Punk. I don't think he'll ever be a world or WWE champion but he can easily be a low-main eventer/gate keeper/upper midcarder and he could make it work. But what does the rest of you think?
