John Cena tweeted over the weekend that he is going through a “very difficult†month. He tweeted:

“Very difficult month for me,personally. It’s times like these that I see truly how much I love wrestling. I am truly thankful for what I do. Adapt. Overcome. And now, more than ever before Rise Above Hate. I f’n love you guys. Even the ones that hate my guts. U get me thru each day..thick and thin. Thank u. For everything. Thank you.â€

A fan then asked Jim Ross via Twitter the following question: “Gotta’ ask you a question. Is @JohnCena really the hardest working Wrestler in the WWE?†Ross responded with the following:

“No one works harder.â€

I gotta ask. Is this a work? It fits with whats going on in the ring or is their really an issue. This is the problem with using facebook/twitter to progress storylines. I read this and think pure work but for all I know his dad he found out his mom has cancer or something.

Good point it could simple be Cena continuing a storyline on Twitter. To be safe I tend to think of everything that is written on Facebook and Twitter to simply be extensions of their characters and it isn't the "real" person talking.

He is probably burnt out and wanting time off, don't blame him.

I don't think that Cena would ever want time off, he doesn't seem like that kind of guy. He would want to work as much as possible and do as much as he can for WWE.

Just weird not having him on a PPV (TLC)... Maybe he really needs time off.

There is still one RAW to go before the PPV so they could always add a match for him this week on RAW. Even if he isn't in a match he will be on the PPV in some fashion.

Yeah true, but after him wrestling and doing so much non-stop everyone needs a break every now and then. Besides it'd work with storyline wise with him trying to 'REBOOT' himself.

I cracked up at that one. You know in wrestling if their is a divorce it's most likely that the wrestler was cheating.

Side bar I hit like and the post just grows in length seems odd.

While I definetely think Cena is a hard worker, I wouldn't put it past him to want some time off. The dude has been a workhorse for the WWE for years, not only has been involved in a major with all the wrestling events, but then there are movies, commercials, promotions, PR events etc, he has been doing all that for years. The wrestling schedule alone is enough to wear most people out(all the top talent work 4-5 times a week, and usually 2 matches on a night). So I could see if he was burned out -- it happens to everyone.

It is also fair to point that there is a possibility that most of what happens on the social media is just kayfabe, the WWE has realized(as most business have) that social media is a good tool.

As far as the divorce goes, Cena seems to be a stand-up guy, but I suspect there is also a possibility aside from his wife being a gold digger or the wrestling schedule taking the toll on their marriage that Cena was simply sleeping around. It happens more than one would think. I don't think it is likely, but still possible. When you are a celebrity, especially a good looking, highly paid and recognizable one, you will get gorgeous women throwing themselves at you on a regular basis. Which is one of the reasons, most celebrities probably shouldn't get married so hastily -- they really can't have normal lives for the most part.

I've never hated Cena as a person, the guy is dedicated to the business and puts in his all every day he's in work. I hope whatever is going in with him is sorted out soon.
