i noticed that all the things you showed us are small sized signatures..
Its good that you are knowing how to use the clipping mask tools but i think that kind of style is just making you stay in one cornor of just making small sig coz clipping masks usually explore more flaws if they are used on a bigger scale.

The Cena sig is a little blurry in the face but it is well done. But I kinda feel that the glare in the top left is not needed.
I like the Orton sig alot. It's really well done. Good use of effects.
