We have been hearing all sorts of rumors of Cena turning heel, getting his rapper gimmick back and having an alliance formed with CM Punk. But what if Cena gets dropped down to the mid-card? He isn't in the main event any longer and is missing episodes of RAW (He wasn't there this Monday)

I think it would be a great idea to do something innovative with Cena. JBL and him are going to wrestle at Judgment Day which wasn't predictable and after that what happens? Nothing else to do for John Cena. So what do you think of Cena as being in the mid-card talent? :sq_yellow_mellow:

If John Cena is in the mid card, that would mean one of the following;

a. The second coming of Austin, The Rock, Hogan, and Flair or any combination of guys who all of a sudden develop god like skills.

b. Cena loses both his legs and both his arms.

I guess my point is that Cena will never be a mid carder. He could get caught sleeping with LInda McMahon and Stephanie in some wierd freaky mother daughter threeway and he would still be wrestling in the main event the next night. He may have to job to Triple H after the orgy, but he won't be in the mid card.

Cena is not a mid carder though. He's improved so much since joining the company it's outstanding. Whether you like him or hate him, you can't deny that he puts on a great match and he can work a story in the ring with the best of them.

If you hear interviews with any other wrestler they always praise John Cena for his work effort and all he does for the company. Nobody has a bad word to say about him. He loves the business and respects the history and I've got to respect him for that.

He's also one of the biggest merchandise earners for the WWE so it would be counter productive to push him down the card.

It took me a long time to appreciate John Cena. I hated his rap gimmick and I thought he was pushed too much, too fast but I've been proven wrong over the years with his hard work and determination. He will be a main event for the next 10 years, easy.

JBL is not a mid card wrestler either, so your point about Judgement Day is unfair. I suspect the draft lottery will enable him to start a new fued. Only 3 wrestlers realistically fight for the WHC whereas I can think of 7 that are fighting for the WWE title so it should be refreshed up pretty soon.

I don't see Cena as an mid card wrestler either, even if he went heel and got his rapper gimmick I think they would fit him somewhere in the upper card.

Cena will never be a midcarder now. Love him or hate him, he's the WWE's chosen poster boy at the moment. Not sure where a heel character would place him though...

Nice post. Cena has probably logged twice as many hours over the past four years then any other wrestler in the entire business, not just the WWE, and you will never once hear him complain in an interview or ask for time off.

He has been at almost every Raw, every house show (sans his recent break for injury and filming), made two movies, recorded an album, toured to promote that album, and been on every talk show imaginable all while being the number one guy and the champ for a better part of three years.

The dude is a friggin animal. He isn't nearly as bad in the ring as people make him out to be. He isn't the best, but he is above average at worst.

I will look on the brightside though. He is getting a fair amount of praise on this forum lately probably more now than any time in the two years i've been a member.

I think ( for what I heard ) is that Cena skipped this Raw to film a upcoming movie he is starring in.

Cena will never be a mid carder now. He is one of the biggest draws he sells any amounts of merch, And to be fair he is prob the hardest working person in the wwe. And he isn't that bad in the ring either i loved the rapper gimmick but he started to pissed me off when he was superman cena and held the title for a year. But since his return from injury he has grown on me again. He is a main eventer and will b now till he leaves plus he along with Orton is the future of WWE.

Thanks for telling me about that, I was really shocked to see John Cena not coming out to promote the Judgment Day match with JBL. Specially after those attacks of JBL on Smith it was obvious that Cena would come out and brawl with JBL but that didn't happen heck he didn't even appear on the show.. leading to me thinking that they are trying to push him down the card.

CenaMark54, you act like Cena is the greatest thing since sliced bread and shit, man. The guy has never been a good athlete, hasn't been good on the mice since, 2004? And everybody got put down to mid card. Cena is no exception. Cena isn't as good as the likes of Rock, Austin, Bret, Hogan, even HBK. Cena could fall off, but these guys can't.

Anyway, yeah its possible for him to go down to midcard, maybe if he didn't kiss the boss's ass so much, but w/e. As I've said numerous times, Vince pushes and uses the wrong people, Cena is an example. We'll see if Vince can make a smart decision here and put Cena to mid card. Speakin' of which, it's pretty funny that Cena hasn't been shown on TV (Fuck the reason of why) and he gets a PPV Match that he'll probably win. cena = Not the biggest draw anymore.

Regardless you like Cena or not, like CenaMark54 said, he is a beast and I have grown to respect his dedication to this sport. John will be the first one to tell you he isn't the greatest wrestler in the world, and anyone with half a brain knows that.. but at least he makes attempts to get better unlike some who are so comfortable with their position they see no reason to try. And for handling such a hectic work load he has stayed healthy for the most part which is another plus.

As for the topic, I could see him dropping out of the title picture for awhile and feuding with different guys like he is now but he's practical a McMahon now. He's a main eventer for life, and why shouldn't he be? He sells the most merchandise and is arguably the biggest draw in sports entertainment today. That, my friend = Money...And Vince McMahon & The Fed are all about money.

Yes, he isn't the most talented guy in WWE but neither was Hogan and look at what he became.

^Do NOT compare Cena to Hogan, please. Hogan made Wrestling big, Cena just made an ugly toy belt

Exactly, Hogan was/is a horrible wrestler and yet he's credited with making wrestling what it is today.

Cena is 10x the wrestler Hogan ever was.

You lose all credibility with this statement. Cena played college football. It takes some athletic ability to play any sport in college.
