08/08/2007 - JOEY MATTHEWS NAMED TRAINER OF BEGINNERS CLASS

Ohio Valley Wrestling has now named Joey Matthews (Joey Mercury) the Head Trainer of the OVW/DCW Beginner's Class Program. OVW would like to thank John Toland for his time as the trainer for the Beginner's Class Program.

Hope he doesn't blow this gig.

Yeah he works hard and I always liked him. Does anyone know exactly why he was released? I heard it was because he was having tantrums and not getting along with the storywriters.
If I got my face busted with a ladder I don't know how willing I would be to get into another ladder match. I mean at least let it heal first before breaking it again.

But good for him that shows that the WWE knows that he has talent.

The reason he was released was for a drug problem, and anyways, good to see him back, but as a trainer.

If he does his job right he might be called up to the main roster. But if he does come back a storyline with morrison should be good.
