"Daddy's" coming home ... for good.
Former UFC lightweight title contender and recent featherweight debutant Joe Stevenson has been released by the UFC, according to MMAFighting.com.
The move comes on the heels of the biggest slump in the longtime veteran's career. After losing three in a row at 155-pounds, UFC brass gave him the opportunity to reinvent himself at 145-pounds.
Once he turned in another uninspired performance against Javier Vazquez this past June 26, it was only a matter of time before the hammer came swinging on down.
Stevenson joins a growing list of former Ultimate Fighter (TUF) winners to be released by the promotion, including recently exiled middleweight Kendall Grove
.

Guy was a exciting fighter I'll give him that, he went out there and tried to put on exciting matches, just didn't work out obviously with the loosing streak over the last year.
