As expected, lightweights Terry Etim (15-4 MMA, 6-4 UFC) and Joe Lauzon (21-7 MMA, 8-2 UFC) will meet in late summer at UFC on FOX 4.

MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com) recently passed along news of the rumored bout, and UFC officials today formally announced it.

UFC on FOX 4 takes place Aug. 4 at Los Angeles' Staples Center, and the main card airs on FOX.

Etim vs. Pauzon likely will be part of the preliminary card, which is slated to air on FUEL TV and stream on Facebook.

Etim looks to recover from a January knockout loss to Edson Barboza. Despite falling to an incredible spinning heel kick, Etim was awarded a bonus check with "Fight of the Night" honors. It was his fourth "Fight Night" check in five octagon appearances, thought the other three were all "Submission of the Night" awards. Injuries limited the Brit to just one fight in 2010 and again in 2011, but he's 5-2 overall in his past seven fights.

Meanwhile, Lauzon also looks to recover from a knockout loss after falling prey to an Anthony Pettis high kick at February's UFC 144 event. Prior to the devastating loss, Lauzon had been on an incredible run of six straight fights in which he received a "Fight Night" bonus check. Four of the awards came via "Submission of the Night" while his losses to George Sotiropoulos and Sam Stout were each awarded "Fight of the Night" honors.

The UFC on FOX 4 card now includes:

Hector Lombard vs. Brian Stann
Ryan Bader vs. Lyoto Machida
Travis Browne vs. Ben Rothwell
Terry Etim vs. Joe Lauzon
Rob Broughton vs. Matt Mitrione
Phil De Fries vs. Oli Thompson
