And some other ROH tidbits...
-It has been reported that Jimmy Rave suffered a ruptured eardrum at the Friday ROH show in Deer Park, Long Island.
-Deer Park was a one-time show there. ROH had to run there as the Lake Grove, Long Island venue Sportplus had shut down. They are having trouble finding places to run in Long Island due to building damage from the original ECW and other independent groups skipping out without paying rent. There is a lot of bad blood between venue owners and potential promoters.
-The company felt that the "Race to the Top" Tournament weekend was a success and may look to run more weekend long tournaments in the future.
-The second ROH PPV will be entitled "Driven."
-The main event for the show is the highly anticipated Bryan Danielson vs. Nigel McGuinness bout from Philadelphia.
-The PPV will begin airing on cable and satellite systems on September 1st.
Rave can't catch a break. He start to build some steam and always gets injured. As for the Race to The Top, it looked to have been a great event, so it wouldn't surprise me to see it again.
