Jimmy Jacobs has joined AEW as a producer.
Dave Meltzer has confirmed that Jacobs has left Impact Wrestling, where he had been part of the creative team, to join AEW. Fightful Select reported Wednesday afternoon that Jacobs was seen backstage at Wednesday’s Dynamite in Washington D.C..
Jacobs has been a member of Impact Wrestling’s creative team since 2017. He had previously been part of WWE’s creative team as a writer between 2015 and 2017. He was fired from WWE after taking pictures with members of The Bullet Club, who did an angle ‘invading’ a WWE Raw event for their Being the Elite show on YouTube.
In recent months, AEW has been expanding their creative team ahead of the new two hour AEW Collision program that is set to launch this Saturday on TNT. Bryan Danielson has confirmed he has recently done creative for AEW. Last month, AEW announced that Will Washington had joined the company as the Director of Wrestling Administration, as well as being a part of AEW's creative.
