Jim Ross, star WWE broadcaster, has some strong things to say about TNA. Ross was asked on his website JRSBARBQ his thoughts about the TNA’s decision to put up billboards in Samford, Ct, which is the headquarters of the WWE.

“A complete waste of money unless obscure mentions such as this one is what TNA is looking for. Silly expenditure of money IMO. One would think that organization would have bigger and more important fish to fry. However, what TNA does isn’t any of my business or concern but the question was asked and has now been addressed. I would guess that many WWE, Stamford based employees learned of TNA for the first time via the local billboards.â€￾

This was like when they tried to use a plane billboard to plug TNA at Wrestlemania 25. It didn't work then, and damn sure isn't going to work now, the fact that a wrestling companies employees at their headquarters didn't even know of their so called competition until this, just shows that TNA is nothing but an overrated indy group.

What point are they trying to prove by getting a billboard in Stamford, right near WWE Headquarters? Are they trying to say they're the competition, because clearly they're nowhere near the WWE.

What they should be spending money on is the company itself in improving it, not buying billboard space to send some sort of message to the big opposition who has nothing to be afraid of.

Funnily enough this probably isn't TNAs biggest waste of money. I could name quite a few people on the roster who are a big waste of money. TNA are spending so much more now then they were two years ago yet ratings haven't changed much and PPV buyrates haven't changed much. The only thing that might have changed is merchandise sales and ticket sales. But compare that to the huge amounts of money they are now spending compared to before and it can't be worth it.

I don't know why TNA would put a billboard in Stamford because it won't get them many fans. Yes it is where WWE HQ is but I am pretty sure it isn't a major wrestling area. Why not do that in NY or in Philly where they would have a better chance of converting fans.
