Jesse Sorensen announced that he has been officially released by TNA. "Would like to say thank you to my supportive family, fans, and friends," he wrote at Twitter.com/TNASorensen

As a fan and for the product this doesn't really mean anything since he had a career ending injury, and as a business move I get it, but they couldn't have picked a worse time to do this.
There's so much bad PR around TNA right now, at least it's better than releasing Ion.

Jesse just started a gofundme to get help starting his bodybuilding career. He explains some things about his TNA release in the description:

My name is Jessy Sorensen(Jesse Sorensen) I am a former professional wrestler for TNA Impact Wrestling seen every thursday night on SpikeTV. On Feb.12th 2012 during a live match on pay per view vs Zema Ion I suffered a sever neck injury sustaining a broke C-1 vertebrae & herniated C-5 & C-6. After a long recovery process & being promised by the President of TNA Impact Wrestling TNA Dixie Carter I would always have a job with her company, I recently was released from my current contract & shown that those promises were false. During my time away from the ring I decided to pursue bodybuilding & have been prepping for the Hurricane Bay bodybuilding show in Tampa, FL on Oct.5th,2013 but now due to my recent released I will have to drop out of my show. A friend of mine told me about this site and if anyone would like to help and contribute I would be so grateful and appreciate any donations. Thanks and hopefully I can find something I love just as much as I did Wrestling.

And to believe Dixie used to work in Public Relations.

Yeah, they're catching some flack for this, both from fans and wrestlers.

X-Pac's twitter:
Classy move by @TNADixie on the release of Jesse Sorensen. Last time I parted ways with TNA, They sent out a statement announcing my release. Problem is ,I wasn't under contract for them to release.

TNA has public relations?

no. But according to PWinsider Dixie used to work in/run Panda Energy's public relations team before TNA. She should know that releasing Sorensen, whom they promised to take care off after breaking his neck in their ring, would be a bad move. I think he would have agreed to a pay cut if it was all explained to him.
