Jericho is IC Champion... again

Jericho's main reason for coming back was to save us. Save us from what? Orton's reign as champion or the boring mid card? Understood that Hardy was getting suspended but that still doesn't take away the fact that Jericho is IC champion for the 8th time. Jericho is a great wrestler but with Cena, HHH, Michaels, Orton and promising young talent slowly coming up, Jericho seems lost in the wind.

Let's face it, Jericho probably will not become WWE Champion again and will always be considered a mid card wrestler. What's your thoughts?

Seriously though I'm thrilled about this even tho they only did it because they were forced to. Jericho is now an 8 time IC champ, so please, please Y2J treat it like an actual championship belt. By that I mean carry it around on all the time perhaps let him defend it once every now and then and maybe(I know this is a crazy idea) but maybe let him defend it on a PPV! If this is done properly and Jericho gets to have a nice title reign I think that he could really bring some respect back to this belt. Also if he treats it like a real belt we might get some good mid-card feuds that would really well out Raw.

I think Jericho is finally getting somewhere. Hopefully he can reestablish credibility within the IC division by feuding with the likes of Kennedy, Santino, Carlito etc. Eventually, whens hes over enough, he'll drop the belt and move into the ME scene again. And I'm pretty sure that Jericho's contract guaranteed him at least one title reign, so go figure.

I don't think he'll be trapped in the mid card for ever...He was on his way to the top in the WWE right before he left the last time if i'm not mistaken...So I wouldn't worry he'll probably be recieving another title shot some time after Wrestlemania...and if i'm not mistaken wasn't he promised a main event title run as part of his contract when he agree'd to return...I'm probably wrong but thought I heard it somehwere....

am i the only one kinda pissed at this? sure its triple h's time at mania and he cant feud with jericho again but....this is an insult to jericho. after all the hype...he's IC champ again.

Well, he and Jeff where starting to egnite a feud before Jeff got suspended, so the fair thing was to drop the belt to Jericho. I'm glad he got it though.

Jericho will definitely hold another world title. Either him or Punk seems the most likely choice to win the money in the bank. If not perhaps he could go to smackdown during a future reign of Edge's and beat him for the world title.
