Jeff Curran to Meet Scott Jorgensen at UFC 137

It didn't take long for Jeff Curran to get a scheduled fight. It was announced earlier today that the veteran and pioneer for the lighter weight classes was signed by the UFC, and now we know that he has been penciled in to meet Scott Jorgensen in a bantamweight matchup at UFC 137 on October 29th. MMA Weekly brings us the news:

The newly signed bantamweight will face former title contender Scott Jorgensen at UFC 137: St-Pierre vs. Diaz in October, according to MMAWeekly.com sources.

Curran has won two fights in a row and four out of his last five to earn a second chance in the UFC, almost eight years after his first and only appearance where he dropped a decision to Matt Serra at UFC 46. Jorgensen is a former challenger for the WEC bantamweight title and won his UFC debut in style by knocking out Ken Stone in the first round at The Ultimate Fighter 13 Finale in June.
