On an interview with TATAME, the Brazilian says he hasn’t signed the contract yet, but complimented Velasquez and said he deserves another shot.

“I really don’t go out there fingering people, so it doesn’t matter who I’m fighting next. They have chosen Cain Velasquez… I haven’t signed the contract but there’s gotta be it. I guess he’s the number two of the division. Of course that, as a champion, I’m number one, but I’m sure he comes right next to me and I guess he deserves this rematch he’s havingâ€.

Dos Santos guaranteed it’s going to be a good fight to watch, affirming he wants to win by knockout again.

“It’s a good fight and everybody expects a war even because when it comes to conditioning and preparation Cain Velasquez is one to look up to. I’m sure it’s going to be a good fight for all MMA fans. I hope I get off there with the knockout again. That’s my main goal when I fight: knock my opponent outâ€.

On their first fight, Velasquez was the champion and Cigano the contender wanting to reign in the division. With a first-round knockout, the Brazilian, who was injured at the occasion, got the title.

“I know more or less how he behaves inside the cage. Of course it’s a different fight, so I hope to get more and more prepared for it. I feel like I’m still evolving. Each day that goes by I learn more and I was injured when I first fought Velasquez. Next time I’m sure both him and me are going to try to implement our game and I really wanna show I’m the number one among the heavyweight fightersâ€.

Boxing expert, Junior dos Santos never fought on the ground, unlike his opponent, who prefers to take things to the floor and work on the ground and pound. Aware of that, the heavyweight champ’ revealed to know his opponent’s weapons and said he has been training Jiu-Jitsu a lot.

“What I can tell you is what I’ve been doing on my preparation. I guess he’s trying to take me down anyway he can and, since I prefer to stand-up, I’ll try to keep actions up and go for the knockout again. I’m very well prepared, training a lot of ground game too and who knows? If he takes me down maybe I can submit him. After all, I train Jiu-Jitsu a lot and, as a Brazilian, someday I’ll submit someoneâ€.

I still say Cain got caught be a moron in their first fight, think it'll be a different story this time..hopefully. I think it's safe to say though that both Cain and JDS are on a whole other level than any of the other HW's out their, Overeem included.

The rematch should definitely last longer than a couple minutes this go around. Will be an awesome fight if it were to happen again.

Should be interesting to see if Cain can take JDS down and test him on the ground, because anyone outside of Reem and Hunt will just get crushed on the feet. That said I'm pulling for JDS, he's the beter fighter IMO and JDS v Reem for the HW Belt would be a classic, has the potential to be the UFCs answer to Fedor v CroCop (which Cain-JDS I was meant to be).

I kind of want to see JDS wreck Cain again with ease as well just to silence everyone who goes on about the first fight being a 'lucky' punch.

Still figuring the fight will be Cain doing his best to keep JDS on his back for the whole fight.

Noway he wants to feel that right hand again.
