-- Mike Mooneyham notes in his latest wrestling column for The Post and Courier that John Bradshaw Layfield didn't leave World Wrestling Entertainment on the best of terms.

Mooneyham wrote: "Word, however, has surfaced that JBL didn't leave the company on the best of terms. His wife, financial guru Meredith Whitney, also didn't attend what appears to have been Layfield's last match."

 wow!

Yeah he was good at everything really. I think wwe missed the boat here or he just wanted to bow out easily. Its a shame though i loved to hate jbl especially in hbk storyline.

By the way he wrote his blog on the WWE site, out of character, he sounded like he appreciated WWE./ Either way, it's sad he's gone. I was hoping he'd actually be a GM or something.

Bullshit. JBL has done a shitload for WWE, I highly doubt he left with anything other then best wishes.

I'm really disappointed he won't be commentating again. I'd love to hear him own the shit out of JR on SmackDown!

The only problem with his commentary is that he sounded like he was on a video game because he repeated the "when the lights are on bright" phrase at least 3.7 times per match.
