Guilherme Cruz - Retired mixed martial artist Jason "Mayhem" Miller was released from Orange County Central Jail Complex early Monday morning after being arrested Sunday on domestic violence charges.
Miller posted a $50,000 bond and was released at 12:21 a.m., according to a representative from the O.C. Central Jail Complex. Sheriff's Department officials were unable to provide specifics on the arrest.
Miller has yet to publicly comment on the situation. Multiple attempts by MMAFighting.com to contact Miller have thus far gone unreturned.
Under California law, domestic violence charges range from a misdemeanor to a felony on a case-by-case basis, with the latter carrying a maximum sentence of four years in state prison.
Miller's arrest comes two days to the one-year anniversary of his arrest after being found nude inside a Southern California church. Miller allegedly broke into the church after hours, and faced a misdemeanor vandalism charge for damages within the property. However that charge was ultimately dismissed.
After losing consecutive UFC bouts and receiving his release from the promotion, Miller retired from MMA in 2012. The 32-year-old recently hinted at a comeback, admitting to Los Angeles' Fox 11 that he still thinks about fighting but will first require two corrective knee surgeries before he can consider his next move.
