Jeff Jarrett should be making his long-awaited return to the ring by next January. The Sun is reporting that Jarrett is scheduled to wrestled on TNA's next tour England in January. The TNA part-owner Jarrett was backstage for the company’s recent events in England, but did not wrestle on the shows. Jarrett last wrestled at the 2007 TNA Sacrifice pay-per-view event. Here are the venues and dates for TNA's tour of England next January: Tuesday, January 20 – Manchester – Manchester Evening News Arena, Wednesday, January 21 – Birmingham – National Indoor Arena, Thursday, January 22 – Glasgow – Braehead Arena, and Saturday, January 24 – London – Wembley Arena. Tickets go on sale Friday June 27 2008 at 9 AM at all venue box offices, online at www.ticketmaster.co.uk and www.gigsandtours.com.
- As noted earlier, TNA Impact defeated ECW in the ratings last week -- their first victory over the program since January. Impact drew a 1.03 cable rating to ECW's 0.99. Anyway, TNA and Spike TV officials were so ecstatic over the news they held a private celebration. Although, it should be noted that last week's ECW went up against the deciding game of the NBA Finals whereas TNA went up against reruns.
- Randy Orton is upset over a few websites claiming that he is off television due to a suspension. Of course that is not true. In a follow-up to the story on him being upset over a report from Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer Newsletter saying that he was going to be out of action until October, here is what he had to say to be exact:
"The pain is gone and I'm well on my way to a speedy recovery. I'm using a special machine that gives the break site a direct pulse from an electromagnet. It helps regenerate the strongest bone growth quickly. It should speed up my three month prognosis to two-and-a-half months at best. I also had only one break in my clavicle, which is the least amount of damage. Most moderate to severe collarbone breaks have two, three, four sometimes five breaks in the bone."
Orton also said that he actually hasn't gotten an X-ray to see how well the bone is healing, but thinks he should back in the ring by early to mid August, just in time for SummerSlam. The creative team thought he was coming back in October, hence the original report.
