AEW Women's World Champion Jamie Hayter wasn't on Dynamite this week due to a situation with her visa.

On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer reported that Hayter is in the process of renewing her visa. Meltzer noted that Hayter had to return to the United Kingdom to get her visa renewed but will be back pretty soon.

Jamie Hayter -- okay, so she wasn’t on the show this week. She’ll be back pretty soon. But what happened is she had to return to England for visa reasons, to get her visa renewed and everything like that, which is something that happens. Like all of the foreign talent in WWE from time to time, they might disappear for a couple of weeks every couple of years for this. So it’s all worked out and it’s all fine, but I’m not sure which week she’ll be back, but she’s not there right now.

Hayter has been AEW Women's World Champion since winning the title from Toni Storm at Full Gear last November. At Revolution earlier this month, Hayter retained her title against Saraya and Ruby Soho in a three-way match. Soho turned heel after the match, aligning with Saraya and Storm against Hayter and Britt Baker.

This shit seems to be way more damn common now than ever. Like what the fuck man? Like I rarely remember this happening before 2020, or maybe it just wasn’t as reported or something idk. But this seems to happen all the time now.

When COVID hit they became backed up like crazy for a variety of reasons (working more from home, mass employee cuts, etc) so that's the main cause. If you don't start putting in for renewal way earlier than you used to, they may not get to you in time. A lot of government stuff has been like that since COVID, DMVs have been the same for license stuff

Makes sense. Cause I swear it’s like always happening haha. Imagine a WrestleMania or like Double or Nothing PPV match, like one of the high up on the card main matches gets ruined because of something like this. Yikes.

Yeah if I was a high profile important talent I'd be scheduling that shit so far in advance at this point lol

not to make this partisan, but Trump also slashed that department to ribbons when he was in office and that created even more backlog combod with Covid

Why doesn't AEW just have a work Visa for her, it would solve a bit of the problems, and also even before covid the US was lazy on keeping Visa's checked and everything.

Probably has more to do with governments being backlogged because the world stopped moving for almost 3 years and people thought not emptying the litter box will stop the cat from shitting.

Didn't it also take Dragon Lee a while to get his sorted out for WWE too?
