I don't have a problem with it. He won't be pushed (or shouldn't) so he's not taking anyone's spot. He'll be a good Jobber to the stars that maybe the haters won't complain about burying "home grown AEW talent" by just existing on the roster lol

Those better free agents I imagine are ones you'd like to see have a semi-decent push at least and that would fall into the Jay Lethal category of people being upset they haven't done much after that signed. No one wants a Jake Atlas push so as long as Tony didn't overpay like crazy and doesn't actually push him over better folk them I'm cool with it

You have 3 hours of television and 2? Hours of a YouTube show that not the entirety of your fan base watches.

WWE has what, 10 hours of weekly programming? So I kinda understood why their roster was on the larger side. But signing guys just to sign them and not use them is counterproductive

Lol ironically Jay Lethal is the reason why my thought process is what it is. Him, along with guys like Christian and Kazarian are guys I like. And they’re just kinda there.

Atlas is more or less gonna be a Dark fixture, but I just don’t see the point in signing him and when you have a shit ton of Dark Order guys that can replace him and nobody would care.

Was a mistake not letting him at least beat a fucking good brother since they don't even work for AEW lmao but otherwise, I wasn't expecting much for that so I'm not rating it too high. Was mismanaged tho

Seriously what would’ve been the harm with him beating Karl fucking Anderson or even one of The Bucks in a singles match?

Could’ve had him run through a few of them to get to Omega in a similar way Bryan was running through the Dark Order to get to Page.

He got released from WWE earlier this year and then did this after he had one ROH match a couple months ago, don't think he was signed with anyone, just a free agent but yes same guy

Said he needed to find himself and wasn't sure if wrestling was for him, wiped all references to wrestling on his socials and everything. Was quite sudden lol

Ah, knew he sounded familiar. Guess, the question now is how long will he stay Elite before he leaves.

Fwiw regarding lethal I have a feeling they not doing much w roh guys till now that's officially done but ya im surprised he's not been on dynamite or rampage since.

I think this is a good low risk signing though
