Jack Swagger huh...
When he first debuted I absolutely hated him. For the exact reason's that Kaedon said...generic...blah blah blah. I was shocked when they actually put the ECW title on him that fast. He's the only person from the "new talent innitiative" that actually did something. He's actually grown considerably in the past few months. He's a hell of a performer in the ring and is getting better and better on the mic. Sometimes I honestly question whether or not he plays up the lisp even more to gain heat.
The fact that he stayed on ECW says one thing to me....Vince loves him...WHAT!? I know but hear me out. I think they really want to give him time to grow in an environment that's going to allow him to stand above the others and not get outshone as a heel. And as far as his ring attire goes...don't you think WWE reads web reports and knows what's going on? They know people hate it...that's why they haven't changed it. He's a HEEL.

Jack Swagger is the future of the WWE but the WWE needs to give him a secondary finisher to go along with the gut wrench powerbomb like a submission move or something

Swagger has great potential in my eyes and I could see him ME-ing Wresltemania down the line. He gets good heat and has a great presence in promos, with the lisp adding to his heat nicely. Good mic skills, coupled with some good ring skills pave the way for a good future. I can see where the generic arguments are coming from, but I think Jack Swagger has built himself some charachter lately.

Jericho's suit wearing style is completely different. Jericho is wearing it as a smug, bitter, business-man type of style
Smug veteran a-hole

whereas Swagger is wearing it as a preppy, athletic, rich type of style. Either way, I just don't see how he's generic.
Smug rookie a-hole. A suit is a suit. What you wear is supposed to distinguish you from others or from your past. How many wrestlers have/do come out wearing suits? Batista, HHH, Jericho, MVP, JBL, and on and on and on.

The name, I do find generic though. But other than that, i don't see him generic at all. He actually has his own traits, his own style (for promos and other non-match shit) and his own in ring style as well.

He does bust out some good moves once in a while, but his moveset is very generic a la Charlie Haas. His character with the "Im an amature" is less Brock Lesnar/Kurt Angle and more Shelton Benjamin/Alex Porteau.

Jack Swagger has started to grow on me. At first he irritated the hell out of me, but the last 2 months or so he has started to show me that he does have a future in the WWE. He is almost perfectly sized for Vince's "future face of the WWE" but regardless I believe the next "Cena" will be someone like Punk or (this is going on a limb) DiBiase but Swagger I believe will be a world champion in the next 2-3 years and imo he doesn't remind me so much of Angle and Lesner as he does a young Randy Orton minus the "Legend Killer" stchick.

Well, I don't think we'll need a "next Cena" for at least 5 years, lol. No need to worry about that, as Cena is still relatively young. I also don't see Swagger being a face either. He's suited perfectly for heel, IMO.

Absolutely... no one needs to talk about "next Orton" or "next Cena" because whoever comes up in this generation will obviously be in the same as guys like Cena and Orton, both of whom are still pretty damn young.

No you all are misunderstanding what I am saying I mean it as in they see something in him like they saw with Orton and Cena 5 years ago or so. After reading my last post I think I could have worded it better. I think the WWE could see him as a future mega star much like Orton and Cena.

Swagger will be a star like Orton and cena. I mean why not? He is a big built guy, hes tall, good wrestler and has a lisp that makes you want to hate him. He has star written all over him, just the wwe have to do it right.
