I used to think that Jack Swagger was a good wrestler, but I never thought he really has the mic skills to last in the WWE. But after ECW, I stand corrected. I thought he was good. Not Randy Orton or Edge good, but good enough to last a few years in WWE. Plus, he's still young and has lots of time to grow and develop. I'm feeling optimistic about this guy now. This might be a stretch but future WWE champ about 5-10 years down?

Thoughts.

He's not that bad...he's just a little........generic. His tights, his finisher.....his NAME.
I think a few minor adjustments would do a lot for this kid. He's got the size that WWE loves and someone in the company is obviously pretty high on him to have him pick up the ECW title so soon after his debut.
I think 5-10 years is actually a bit of a stretch. Depending on how he fairs this year in ECW I'de honestly say 2-3 is a more realistic figure for him capturing a major title.

I feel the same as you, Phantom. I always thought of him as a guy with potential, but way too generic. Lately though, I've seen something in him. If booked right, I think this guy could be a star. His ring skills are great, he has a decent look, he just has the same problem as Morrison. he has good lines, he just doesn't execute them well enough. Lately I've seen improvement in that though, and I think he's got a pretty good future. What you said isn't a stretch. You were being to 'modest'. 10 years until he becoems WWE chamo, and you call that a stretch? LOL. In 10 year's, he'll be 36. I'm thinking more like 3-4 years.

I didn't shit on him upon debut, nor when he won the belt... Always worth giving guys a while to settle in and in short, yeah i too agree, he could become a good, dare I say, valuable part of the WWE.

Looking forward to seeing what him & Christian pull out of the bag on Sunday.

Also, kind into that almost monkey-esque thing he does as he's heading into the ring.

I seen him live in Cardiff he Impressed me a quite a bit. I think he has got a lot of potential down the line. I'm not to keen on his whole gimmick at this moment ion time. And i think if in awhile they gave him a new gimmick and booked him right he will be a big star. He was in match with Christian when i went to see the show and they were good. Yeah i think he will be pretty good in time if given the right push and booking.

i think he has some decent ring skills and ok mic skills. i dont think hes the future face of wwe. i dont think he will ever get much higher on the ladder then he is now tbh. he will probably get a world title reign but he will be a transitional champ.

^I really think he has more potential than that. Also, if he does ever get a world title reign, I'm positive it won't just be a transitional champion. If they were gonna put a title on him for any reason at all, I'm sure it'd be because they think he can handle it. If they need a transitional champion, they'd just put in on another main eventer as part of a storyline.
