Jack Swagger ARRESTED for DUI & Pot

WWE star Jack Swagger was arrested last night in Mississippi, TMZ has learned -- after allegedly driving under the influence ... with pot in his car.

Sources close to the situation tell TMZ, Swagger -- real name Jacob Hager -- was leaving a "Smackdown" taping at Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi when he was pulled over for speeding.

According to law enforcement, the officer who pulled him over determined Swagger was driving under the influence -- and a search revealed Swagger was in possession of marijuana.

We're told Swagger -- a former WWE World Heavyweight champ -- was taken in by local sheriff's deputies ... and later released on his own recognizance.

He has been charged with DUI, marijuana possession, and speeding -- all misdemeanors.

We reached out to WWE, who tells TMZ, "Mr. Swagger is responsible for his own personal actions."

And, who is to say Swagger is gone from Mania as a result? That is likely, but this isn't unprecedented here. And I always thought it was common knowledge in the IWC that Swagger is a pothead.

Which he obviously wasn't going to anyways since the set up is perfect for Del Rio to retain and Dolph cashes in after Big Show fucked Del Rip up or something like that. The guy was a jobber the past two years. If you want to give someone a fast push fine, but not at Wrestlemania. Do it at a secondary PPV, simple as that.

WWE is strict as hell now, no way they can let this slide. They are just going to let knuckleheads like him get arrested without repercussions? This isn't TNA. The only way they can save this is maybe have Otunga bring back the lawyer gimmick and have some even more crazier segments to try to fight the case in storyline.
