This is just okay for me.
I think my main problem is that the background (which, on its own would work) does not flow with the render. The purple and black of the wavy portion just contrasts too much with Sparrow's shirt. Also, the light being on the bottom as opposed to the top behind his head, kinda' draws our attention away from the render. The font is a tad too plain as well.

Decent piece that could be better with some edits. You might be able to squeak out a win with it, but you've done much better in the past!

Captain Jack Sparrow. The graphic certainly is eye catching there's no doubt about it. I like the background and the graphical effects used, it's very well done. I'd probably rate this particular graphic as a 9/10. The text used on the graphic seems like it doesn't belong, but perhaps that's just me? It's a very well done graphic though.
