*Backstory*

After a huge family row and after Vince McMahon blaming him for WWE's poor state, Triple H has departed the WWE and is hellbent on proving him wrong. Triple H, with the help of his wife Stephanie McMahon has set up the International Wrestling Federation. He has already approached longtime friend and partner Shawn Michaels and asked him to return to the ring but Shawn said he was retired. However, the pair came to an agreement and HBK is the new general manager of the first brand, Monday Night Chaos. Triple H has stated that there will only be one brand currently which will consist of 22 superstars and no divas for the time being with a view of a second brand and a divas division in the near future. He says the roster will be revealed shortly as he begins his quest to build a strong roster. The first show will be a special 3 hour episode on the 19th December 2011. He has chosen to start it as soon as possible in order to compete with rival promotions over the festive period.​

Triple H announces his first 5 signings:

1) John Morrison

Annoyed at the WWE for his booking, John Morrison wanted out. His contract had just expired and it seemed the only thing left for him was TNA. However, John didn't want to go to TNA and was delighted when Triple H offered him a contract. He accepted fairly quickly and couldn't wait to get started.

2) Jeff Hardy

Jeff was fed up of being treated for his past and wanted to start a new life away from his old promotions. He wanted to start afresh and Triple H didn't hesitate in signing a former WWE champion.

3) Chavo Guerrero

Filled with anger at the way the Guerrero name was tarnished, Chavo only had one person to blame, Vince McMahon. When Chavo heard of the family feud, Chavo came calling. He asked if there was a spot for him in the IWF and Hunter didn't disappoint.

4) Zack Ryder

Annoyed with his progress and jobbing to a lot of people, still not being given a chance with a title after all his hard work, Zack got frustrated and wanted out so Triple H offered him a contract which Ryder gladly accepted, bringing the Long Island Iced Z to the IWF.

5) James Storm

Pissed off over his title run and other issues. James got angry and quit TNA. Triple H, seeing this huge opportunity, signed Storm to a contract.

So here are the first five members of the IWF. More to come soon.​

Triple H reveals the next 5 competitors.

6) R-Truth

Fed up of not having his chance at the top and on his last warning over his drug use, R-Truth felt it was time to depart the WWE. TNA made a quick attempt to sign the superstar but Truth rejected. It looked like Truth would join Ring Of Honor before Hunter came in with an eleventh hour offer. Truth was excited at the prospects of this new promotion and quickly signed on the dotted line.

7) Alex Shelley

Inactive in TNA, Shelley was getting sick of not being used. He wanted out and asked for his release. Knowing that he was no use at the moment due to his partners injury, his request was granted along with the release of Chris Sabin.

8) Chris Sabin

When his partner Alex Shelley was released, Sabin currently injured was released too. The pair, now looking for a new company, approached Triple H and stated that he could use a tag division. Triple H agreed and struck a deal with the Motor City Machine Guns.

9) Chris Masters

When Chris was released from the WWE, he was devastated. He had worked hard but it wasn't noticed, he was just put on WWE Superstars every week where he would most of the time have the best match. Triple H had always admired Masters' work and approached him with an offer. After some consideration, Masters accepted the offer and was said to be delighted at joining up with the IWF.

10) Carlito

Carlito was tired of working indys and wanted a promotion to stay. He didn't want to rejoin WWE or go to TNA. It looked as though things wouldn't work out for Carlito when he heard about a new, third promotion about to appear on T.V. He approach Triple H who was delighted at the interest and snapped up Carlito quickly.​

The next 6 competitors are revealed

11) MVP

Montel wanted to get back on television as he felt his skills were being wasted. Going back to WWE was an option, but he feared he would be stuck in the mid card. When he heard about the exciting new promotion, IWF, Montel called Triple H who signed him to a blockbuster deal.

12) Tyler Black

Triple H went to hurt Vince McMahon and dipped into WWE's developmental territory with this signing. Black, frustrated with being stuck in FCW, gladly accepted Triple H's offer.

13) Danny Basham & 14) Doug Basham

One thing Triple H wanted to do with his promotion was build up the tag team division and he recruited a team who are former WWE Tag Team Champions, The Basham Brothers. They were said to be delighted to get the opportunity to be on television again.

15) Paul London & 16) Brian Kendrick

Triple H had always admired this team when they were in the WWE and as soon as the IWF was created, he contacted the pair who were delighted at the offer and look forward to teaming again.

Triple H reveals his last 6 competitors

17) Shad Gaspard & 18) JTG

Shad had been released by the WWE and JTG was doing nothing so Triple H pounced and brought the former Cryme Tyme partners to the IWF. They are happy to have a chance to kickstart their careers.

19) Rob Terry

Angry at TNA's decision to send him back to Ohio Valley Wrestling, Rob Terry quit TNA. He heard about Hunter's new promotion and gave Triple H a call. Triple H signed the up and comer much to TNA's dismay.

20) David Hart Smith & 21) Tyson Kidd

After being released, DH Smith began looking for a new promotion and when he heard of the new promotion, IWF, he contacted Tyson, who was being used mostly as a jobber or on WWE Superstars. Tyson, frustrated with this decided to go with DH Smith and approached Triple H who snapped them up to a deal.

22) Shelton Benjamin

Expected by many to be the next big thing before his departure from the WWE, Shelton was approached almost immediately after Triple H set up the IWF. After deep consideration and long, drawn out discussions, Shelton accepted Triple H's offer to become the last member of the IWF.​
