His eyes close, his memory awakens, the blood pumps through his veins, the adrenalin continues to grow. He walks through the curtains and feels the roar of a crowd as he walks down the ramp. He stands inside the squared circle looking out into the fans showing their emotions with chants. An opponent stands in the way; he stands tall knowing he is the wall that has to be broken. Words are spoken, fists are traded, moves are countered until one man finally breaks down the wall and raises the prestigious IWF Championship.

At this point in time the wrestler known as Adam Freeman doesn’t seem to know where he is, his body is here but is mind is in a place elsewhere. Freeman is sat down on a huge boulder like rock, he is wearing light blue jeans with a shining silver belt, and he is wearing a white summer T-Shirt with his hair unusually flat and unstyled. The boulder he is sat on is around 6 foot high and wide. The boulder isn’t perfectly round, it is misshapen as the top of the rock is smooth with only the occasional bump making it ideal for sitting on, not that many people do so. This rock is placed on a hilltop, the hill is quite tall and not a hill that people would walk up, the hill is quite steep and would take a character with great strength and stamina to even attempt to walk up it. The tree’s and muddy paths surround the base of the hill are a challenge in their own write and not many walk across the muddy landscape and climb the hill, although some do. There is a reason that people walk through this mysterious location, the path to the hilltop is a struggle, but when you reach the top you are instantly rewarded with the most beautiful of views. The green inland and surrounding villages can be seen with the winding roads in between them. Then with a swift look too the right there is a beach, most of the time the golden sands are deserted with only the odd person walking their dog, or the odd tourist family wanting to soak the sun up, but lick of the ocean, the sounds of the waves are what make this hilltop a place to relax, to get away from the pressure of reality, this place is a place where you can go into deep thought and not be interrupted for hours. And on this day this is what Adam Freeman has chosen to do. Underneath the blaze of the sun Freeman is still in deep thought, the noise of the waves aren’t enough to bring Freeman into reality, there is a silence, a silence that you wouldn’t think would be broken, until…

Amy: Adam, Adam!

His eyes open... and were back to the world of reality. Freeman’s girlfriend Amy is shown, she has long blonde hair that rests down here shoulders, she is wearing a vest top and Army like combat trousers. She looks happy and seems to be enjoying her time on the hilltop.

Amy: ADAM!

Freeman: Erm, what oh sorry about that Amy.

Amy: Are you ready to go?

Freeman: If you don’t mind, can I have a few more minutes to myself?

Amy: Yeah sure.

Freeman: Don’t get going off too far; I don’t want you walking down this hill on yourself.

Amy: Don’t worry I won’t.

Amy disappears into the distance as Freeman looks into the depths of the ocean. There is a certain glare in his eyes, one that is not seen very often, instead of going into deep thoughts again. He decides to speak.

Freeman: Moments ago, I had a vision, it wasn’t like most visions where you picture something that may happen in the future, I had a vision that I have already lived, a vision I had already experienced, and that was when I won the IWF Championship at Final Impact. The very moment I won the IWF Championship will live with me forever, I will never forget the feeling, the rush, and the excitement I felt that day, and I will never forget the joy and happiness I felt after I pinned MNM. I accomplished something many wrestlers dream of at such a young age, I never expected my first championship in the IWF to be the world title. If I wanted to I could chose to leave the world of wrestling as I have already achieved my dream of being the World Champion, but it is not the end for me, infact its only the beginning, because from this day forward I have a new dream, and that dream is to not only be the best of the best in the IWF, but to be the best and biggest wrestler of all time. No one in any other company will be able to match me, I still haven’t reached my full potential, the fact that I can still improve even with the qualities I already have is a scary thought, a thought that should make all the wrestlers out there very fearful. There’s not a wrestler out there I cannot make submit or pin their shoulders to the mat. My new dream starts this Sunday at IWF Inception.

Freeman gets down from the rock and plants his feet firmly on the ground. He walks to the very edge of the hill still facing the ocean. A rare breeze sweeps across the field and hitting Freeman in the face forces his hair to wave like a flag until it dies down. Freeman then speaks once again.

Freeman: This Sunday is the start of something magical, something that won’t be seen for some time if ever again. The dominance of a Freeman era will begin, I have my deserved opportunity at the IWF Title and I don’t attend to waste it. This brings me to my opponent which is none other than Nic Stone. Not even I can deny that you have made an instant Impact in the IWF, since you stepped in the ring for your first match you have beat everyone that has faced you. I am very much aware of your roll, and I am very much aware that you beat me in your first match in the IWF. But here’s the thing Nic Stone, that night I admit I was below par, I thought I would knock you over without breaking a sweat, I was somewhat passionless that night but this Sunday the fire burns once again. As every week has gone by my passion for wrestling has once again grown, and the more passionate I am only makes your job harder, this passion makes me a better performer, it makes me a harder opponent to put away because this passion refuses to let me give up.

The silent and beauty that surrounds Freeman could set a light and burn which matches the passion and seriousness that can be seen in the eyes of Freeman. There is more than a glare now and like before Freeman is in a world of his own, but a very real world that we call wrestling.

Freeman: Nic Stone many people have doubted me and once again the same people doubt me this Sunday, I have read the papers, I have red the magazines, all of them say the same thing about our match and they all say Stone is the next IWF Champion. They will all be proved wrong once again, my past accolades mean shit to them, they always have but as always I will do the business in the ring. I will fight with every last bit of strength I have, I will fight until every bone in my body is broken, everything I have will go into this match and I will turn up at Inception a tougher opponent than in our previous match, whatever I have to do will be done, whether it’s the right thing to do or not.

Freeman stops to get his breath back, breathing deeply before the continues.

Freeman: Anyone will be stupid to rule Freeman out because Nic Stone, I truly believe that I will be the better man that night, I truly believe that I am better than you at this point in our careers. If you disagree with me, then let me know in the ring this Sunday, turn up with the same passion I have if it’s possible. Infact I hope you do, turn up with the same aggression and dream I have because you will force me into another level. You can make me change my mind about your abilities, but I won’t be beaten, like the vision, a wall will be broken at IWF Inception, but Stone, it won’t be my walls being broken, it will be the Walls that will break you.

Freeman stands in silence for a number of moments before his girlfriend Amy interrupts him again.

Amy: Are you ready now?

Freeman doesn’t answer; he just walks towards Amy as the scene ends.

The camera opens with a flashing star zooming across the screen to reveal the ‘Paramount Presence’ logo. The star explodes the logo and itself before changing into a black screen where we see a shot of text reading ‘The Shining Star, The Next IWF Champion, Nic Stone’ The shot then fades in to Nic Stone standing in what looks to be his home considering it’s near the spot last weeks ‘IWF Exclusive’ was taped. Stone is wearing a pair of faded jeans, a black wife beater, and a silver chain. Stone runs his hands through his wet, blonde hair and addresses the camera.

Nic Stone: Can you feel it? Can’t you just sense it? I can, I can feel the dawning of a new era here in the IWF and it begins and ends right here with the Shining Star. About a month and a half ago I showed up in the desert talking about my the unique skill set and talent I bring to the ring and my preparation. And then on the very first night of the new IWF I did what every body but me thought was impossible and that was defeat Adam Freeman. Let me just walk you through that one more time. I guaranteed that Nic Stone would be the one ending the re launch of Monday Night Mayhem standing tall with a victory of the IWF Golden Boy, Adam Freeman and I did just that. I didn’t have to cheat, I didn’t have to take any short cuts, I went to the ring, out wrestled and out fought Adam Freeman. I went on from there to further my abilities, my training, and multiplied my experience by an uncountable number. I have gone on from that night to defeat other IWF superstars, people I was not supposed to beat.

An arrogant smile creeps across the face of Stone who turns to the side and let’s that smile turn into an intense stare before he puts his arm out. With Stone’s right arm he uses his hand to count out the upcoming list.

Nic Stone: I defeated Adam Freeman, in the match I was not supposed to be in, let alone win. I beat Loki and Hutt Anderson in a triple threat match with the odds stacked against me. I pinned CMS, the common street thug in the middle of the ring. I won yet another triple threat match against two of the IWF’s biggest names in James Kash and Bobby King. And then just last week I defeated James Kash and that is the only match that can be criticized or scrutinized due to interference from RJC Cool. Let me make one thing perfectly clear, I don’t know RJC Cool, I don’t like RJC Cool and if he gets in my business one more time he will have hell to pay. I would be perfectly willing to give James Kash a rematch but it looks like he’s a little busy but believe me one day down the line I will beat James Kash and prove no Nic Stone win is a fluke.

The previous smile comes back to the face of Stone who tries to hid it but fails and ends up letting a hint of laughter slip out. Stone corrects himself and continues.

Nic Stone: I’m sorry it’s just that this situation with Kash is the exact same as the situation I am in with Adam Freeman this upcoming Sunday night. It is Inception, the IWF’s very first Pay-Per-View since returning and they have sure stacked the card. Last Man Standing, Multi-Team Tag Championship Match, a Steel Cage, a Fatal Four Way for the Intercontinental Championship, a Grudge Match between two former friends, and a bitter rematch for the richest prize in the game. It has been my goal from my very first day in the IWF to win the IWF Championship and this Sunday I have my shot but that’s not the only thing I am working, training, and preparing for. After I beat Adam Freeman the first time I heard all the talk, I heard everything people had to say. Whether it be my win was a fluke, I didn’t deserve the spot in the first place, or anything else negative that people had to say. My goal for this Sunday is to 1. Become the IWF Champion and 2. Prove to the world without a shadow of doubt that I am the very best there is in this business and that I am better than Adam Freeman.

Stone runs his hands through his bleach blonde hair once more.

Nic Stone: You may be sitting at home storing up lard for the winter, tweeting about how awesome Inception is going to be and yet you slobs still don’t know what I know. But this Sunday you will see a respectable IWF Champion, not some puppet willing to let management pull their strings. I am the best thing to hit this industry and there is no exaggeration in that statement. And you know what I get it, I understand where you people are coming from. And I understand where IWF management is coming from. They sell you sheep the tickets to see Adam Freeman and you people actually think he has a shot at ever becoming IWF Champion again. I guess I’ll be the bearer of bad news but Adam Freeman will never become IWF Champion again as long as Nic Stone is in this company. I will simply not allow it, not because I don’t like Freeman and not because he’s always the center of attention, it’s because I refuse to be looked down on. I refuse to be the guy that lets Adam Freeman get to the top of the mountain.

Stone fixes the silver chain on his neck due to his impassioned speech, it had turned towards his back. Stone digs a hand in his pocket and leaves the other one out in the open.

Nic Stone: I’m not a bad guy, I’m in this business for one man only and that is myself. If you people want to hate me for that then do it. Say I’m conceited, say I’m self centered but just because I’m better than you shouldn’t be a reason to hate me. From this day on I will continue to take out your heroes one by one and when you think one can rise from the ashes and finally take me out I will act swiftly and end any hopes of redemption. Understand that even if there was a man on this planet capable of stopping me from what I want to do in my career, it is not Adam Freeman. Adam Freeman talks about still being young enough and still being the chosen one to become champion once again. I’m sorry to say Freeman….actually I’m not sorry to say it, I’m damn glad to say you blew your shot by not appreciating what you had when you had it. You had the most golden of opportunities and let it pass you by. I watched your IWF career and I watched your IWE career. Both times you had it all and both times you let it slip away.

Stone leans backwards, stretching out his back and locks his eyes onto the camera once more.

Nic Stone: There’s no company closing or Montana to stop you this time. The only thing standing in your way just so happens to be the biggest challenge of your career, me. Don’t kid yourself in thinking you have a shot in this match because I am simply better. You know what, Freeman, I’m a nice guy, I’ll give you a tip. Why don’t you prepare for this match by talking up the fact that you have more main event experience than me. Talk up the fact that you’ve faced more world class opponents and maybe you’ll get some of the doubters on your side. Face facts, Freeman, Nic Stone is the future of this business and come this Sunday the future will pass you by. I don’t know how else I can say this to you to make you understand but I cannot be stopped. It’s inevitable, it’s fate, it’s destiny and no matter how hard you try you cannot change destiny.

Stone takes his right hand and places it on the belt loop of his jeans. With his left hand, Stone runs it through his hair, setting it into place.

Nic Stone: Freeman, you need to quit living in the past. I notice you seem to hang your hat on the fact that nearly a year ago you were on top of the IWF mountain for what like five minutes? Wake up and start living in the real world where the sky isn’t orange and the ground isn’t chocolate. You have captivated these ingrates, these pieces of trash for a while now and I just could not seem to get it. Finally I came up with the answer, it’s the fact that you and these people are one in the same. You’re underachievers, you’re told to have all the potential in the world and just cannot capitalize on it. I, on the other hand, am the picture of perfection, the silhouette of superiority, basically I am the person every single one of you want to be. I bring to the ring the things you wish you could. I bring my skills, my preparation, and more fire and passion in one finger than you have in your entire body. ‘The Shining Star’ isn’t just a nickname, it’s a way of life, it’s the defining characteristic that separates people like me from people like you. It’s difficult for somebody to talk themselves up as much as I have but I know I can back it up because I have before. You can say you didn’t prepare well enough, or you didn’t take me seriously the first time but none of that matters because I beat you.

Stone pulls his right hand out of his belt look and points it towards the screen.

Nic Stone: You’ve got your rematch, Freeman, and I expect you to make the best out of it. Bring everything you’ve got because you know I’ll be coming into that match guns blazing. This is my first Pay-Per-View and I am in the main event. This is my first title shot and I will be champion. Following this Sunday the story isn’t going to be about Adam Freeman’s eight month climb back to the promise land, it’s going to be all about the rookie, Nic Stone dominates Adam Freeman and etches his name in stone as the greatest young star to ever hit this business. The scary thing is Freeman, I’m just getting started. You haven’t seen anything yet so study that first tape of our match together well, I know I will. I told you before we ever met that on that inaugural edition of Monday Night Mayhem it was you being fed to me and I was, once again, exactly correct. New York, New York, the World’s most famous arena, Madison Square Garden will bear witness to not only the beginning of the Stone Era in the IWF but the beginning of the end for Adam Freeman. Believe Freeman when I say that I am taking the IWF Championship from out of your grasps and saving these people from the freak show you try and put on every week. I can see right through you and know that you have finally met your match. Good luck, Adam, because I know you’re going to need it.

Nic Stone lingers his gaze into the camera before it slows pans and fades out.
